:o Hayfever tablets make you less fertile?! I have ones prescribed from the doctors i have to take every day for the last 3 months and no one told me about that... any idea how long it takes to get them out of your system? Ill not have anymore after this mornings one :|
  • One of the ingredients hayfever tablets rely on is antihistamine, this dries up your nose and stop your eyes streaming *but* it can also dry up your cm, and less cm is not helpful when ttc...

Could you not just use Pre Seed to make up for the loss of CM I wonder? We have it here ready to trial when we get the chance.

B2B - I can only say that my OH still thinks it is worth using, here's the thread from last year if you want to read more:

Emmzy, oh dear! Have you been exercising as well as the change in diet? I only say that as we all know muscle weighs more than fat! It doesn't matter what the scales say, it is how you look and feel that's important.

Consider going to your GP if you really can't see any change when you've been trying so hard - there might just be an underlying cause that is stopping you from losing the weight, x

Emmzy my friend uses Appesat and thinks they work :) Personally I think that they're mad, they fill you up with pretend stuff so you don't eat - you want to speed your metabolism up not slow it down! Do you exercise?

On the note of ttc...I'm on CD13 and waiting for ov :) Really enjoying OH at the moment, we seem to have got our spark back, I love summer & the sunshine, really perks us both up, woo hoo!

Oooh also went to hospital today for a heart scan (to do with drugs I take for my stupid tumour) and they showed me it on screen, it's amazing! Perfect heart aside from a little murmur, in great shape apparently so very pleased :)

i kno my mum takes a load of different pills and none of them work so i was just wondering if they were all a con.

My doctors are pretty useless as you can tell from previous posts i really dont want to see them. I went to see one a few years back to tell him my periods stopped for 3 months and then i bled for 47days straight and he said "its because your so overweight go on a diet and that will fix it" a week later i collapsed and ended up in hospital because i lost so much blood but they couldnt find a reason and put me on the pill and it sorted it out. I put in a complaint about him but nothing ever happened i just changed to an equally useless doctor who thinks every medical problem comes from being fat or smoking.

I dont exercise i tried a few times but i get bored and give up lol. i bought a swimming costume but no one wants to take me swimming! my jeans are deffinatly tighter so i doubt its muscle christmas 2007 i was a size 24 i gradually went to a size 18 a few months ago witohut even trying now that i am trying harder a 20 isnt fitting me i had to lie on the bed and force myself the nice pair i had on on saturday! Because i cant go out without someone beside me i find it really hard to get any exercise apart from hoovering and Bd'ing

On a good note me and OH are down to 10 cigs a day (we share them and smoke half each) from 20 full ones :o So atleast when i do go to the doctors she cant blame that!

As you say you went down a size or few without even trying, I would definitely say it is worth investigating with a more useful GP if possible! I still think your weight issue might just help to explain a few things to you, including the long period and huge blood loss. My mum was eventually diagnosed with thyroid problems, but it was an uphill struggle to get there!

I noticed in Boots the other day they are heavily promoting Alli - I didn't know the first thing about it, but was surprised somewhere like Boots was promoting a weight loss system so much, so might be worth reading up on?

Have you ever tried the diets that cut out food totally? I can't remember the name of the one a friend used, but basically she lived on liquids for 3 months with different vitamins in and managed to go from an 18 to an 8. Personally it's not for me but I guess if you find exercising tough it might be a good way to go? Or maybe you could try walking, that's a good thing to do on your own? I make myself walk places, like to the supermarket, rather than just walking generally as I feel a bit silly!

My weight has crept up lately I think thanks in part to this tumour :( Maybe ask the Dr to do bloods to ensure you haven't got thyroid issues, then ask them to check for PCOS, as that's often linked to erratic periods/weight gain? You prob won't have them but at least it gives you some specifics you'd like them to test for? I always find it easier to approach Dr's with something I want specifically rather than waiting for them to suggest things :)

    Help!

I mentioned the other day about having period type pain... and I'm now having it again... but worse:eek:

My boobs have also got huge:rotfl:

    CD21... or is it 22:confused:

I know someone mentioned OV maybe but I'm starting to think AF is going to be really early :(

As it's first month off of pill I guess things are going to be unknown... and I don't like it!
