    Hello!

Apologies if this is the wrong thread to post in!

My OH and I are planning to start trying for a baby after summer (we have financial stuff to try and sort out first!!). I am 31 and don't want to wait much longer!
I have had a few gynae problems in the past, including PID and have a feeling it wont be an easy ride (sorry probably the wrong phrase there!!!:rotfl:). However, I want to try and get my body (and his) into the best possible condition and do as much as I can to help the situation.

Can anyone recommend any pre-pregnancy books that would give me good honest advice? I had a look on Amazon but got confused!!

    Thank you! x

I bought taking charge of your fertility by toni weschler , it is a mine of information , even if you are not trying to get pregnant. I have lent it to lots of my friends.

hey cedrickerry I'd love a cycle buddy! do you chart? spotting isn't always the end of the world either as I'm sure you know.. crossing my fingers for you!

becs - I'm on holidays in a week.. worked out I should OV right in the middle of it.. maybe the stress relief of hols will be a benefit to us both? I thinking about not taking my BBT whilst on hols and just see what happens.. but I am worried I'd miss out altogether. how lame! :)

this is just my opinion of course, but if you take the clomid and get pregnant, you won't be able to have the op whilst you're pregnant surely? if thats the case you'd have to put off the op until you'd given conceived and given birth, that could take a while?

and if you got a bfp right away (fingers crossed as you deserve it after all you've been through!) you'd have to wait til baby is born to have the op. and who wants to be hobbling around with a new born? :D

if it were me, I'd put off the clomid as heartbreaking as it is, but only for a month or two until you're over the op. Then you are free and clear to be pregnant and also with a newborn without having to worry about it.

just my 2p.. whatever you decide we'd still love to see you here :)

Days Past Ovulation .. I found this site to be really useful for all the acronyms out there:

    http://www.tryingtoconceive.com/abbrevs.htm

esp when people were saying TCOYF (what the.. ?) .. that book gets mentioned everywhere! I must buy it..

    morning ladies,
temperature up again this morning almost back to pre-drop levels (its 98.2 and was 98.34 before it dropped) and this is a new thing for me - usually from 10DPO onwards its a steady slide back down the graph by which point AF shows. FX this means something is not just a minor rise before plummeting tomorrow!

Hope you all have a fab Friday... its Friday.. how could it not be fabulous? :D

    Morning lovelies!
Happy Friday :) Sun is shining here so I am a happy bunny.
Annie - things sound promising, will be keeping all crossed for you :)
Kindofagilr - I had a late af this time around, it was due the wed I was on holiday and I returned on the Sunday. I must admit, it drove me mad not knowing! Just pop one in your suitcase, it can't do any harm :)
Becs - hope all's ok? I went to get my eyes checked out yesterday as I've started to wear glasses in the last year, so they wanted to make sure all my optic nerves were working. What a load of fun that was! I have a whole new weird thing to report this month, af was 6 days late, and has come and gone within 24 hours. I'd be getting excited if it was spotting but it was 24 horrendous heavy hours :( Can't be normal can it?!
    xxx
