  • Evansangel, sorry about your news. We’re trying again straight away - after a week off waiting for my appointment I'm not going to let a little bit of blood get in our way ;) (tmi?)

After yesterday I got on t’internet and found lots of stories from women who have got pg straight after a mc which I found very reassuring http://www.babyexpert.com/index.php/chatroom/topic/6826 hth. And yes, those girls on the pregnancy thread can't half chat!

Madmac, hope you can make your long weekend in the seedy hotel, sounds like fun to me, it might be so bad it's good seedy and at least it'll be memorable :D

catherine h, how on Earth have you not tested yet??? You're a stronger woman than I am! Sounds good, I'll keep my fingers crossed. And no, you're not the only one, I don't need to google early pregnancy symptoms anymore, I know them off by heart :o

Anyhoo, there's 3 bottles of wine in the fridge, magazines to be read and The Apprentice to look forward to tonight - happy days :D

Hi everyone, Is it ok if i join you all?
I used to be on the pregnancy club list but found out that i lost my baby last week. I had to go in hospital for an op to get everything out, as it was a missed abortion/miscarriage, and i didn't bleed.

Me and OH are going to be trying again after i stop bleeding which should be sometime next week.

Has anyone on here tried again staright away after a miscarriage? (sorry if its sensitive to some)

    xx

    hi EA :)

I got pregnant straight after my mc even though we only BDed twice at random times!

I started my mc on Oct 3, stopped bleeding on Oct 17, we BDed on Oct 18 and then a bit later (can;t remember exactly, I think a week later) and I got my BFP on Nov 11.

I didn;t have a D&C though, I just mced at home (probably why it took two weeks of bleeding).

But I also read you're more fertile after a mc and I certainly was.

    good luck hon :A

Well we're due to go on holiday in 2 weeks roughly, so the bleeding will have hopefully stopped by then, and we can BD all throughout the holiday hehe.

Also how do i chart my cycle. When counts as cycle day 1? usually its the first day of your period isn't it? :)

Hi all, just to say I had the 2nd batch f bloods dobe on Monday and have my follow up appointment on Tuesday next week with. I hope it is all ok.

I am feeling ok at the moment, although still willing a miracle to happen.

I hope you are all well and getting the results you all so deserve.

Well I will post on tuesday after I get the full results. (im a little nervous you know, scared in case all the good that we have been told goes wrong)

Hey EA, I was over on the pregnancy thread with you until recently, I'm really very sorry to hear your news. Everyone here was very supportive after my mc but I'm afraid this is the first time I have properly posted as I have found it difficult reading all the BFP's :o Not that I'm not happy for everyone.

We decided to try again straight away & try to take advantage of the rumoured increased fertility, although I understand not everyone is ready this soon. If you count the day of my mc as CD1 then I am currently on CD23 but I am expecting a long cycle - I normally get a strong positive on an OPK on CD18 & 19 of 31 with a 12 day luteal phase, however, this month I only started getting a very feint positive yesterday on CD22 so won't get a strong positive for another few days. Obviously a feint positive is actually a negative though - if you follow me :o

I had a natural mc but bled for over a week & my HPT's didn't show a negative until 2 weeks after the mc so I was expecting my cycle to be a bit messed up. We started trying again once the HPT's stopped coming up with positives as before that my body still thought I was pregnant anyway so I was unlikely to ovulate. I have to say obsessing about TTC again has helped to stop me dwelling on our loss.

We spent so long planning when we did & didn't want to conceive last time - avoiding Christmas etc, and before we would have stopped trying this month as it means a baby with a due date at the same time as our DD's birthday - however, now I will just remember I'm blessed whatever the due date if we are lucky enough to have a healthy pregnancy & baby.

It seems there have been a lot of losses recently & ladies coming back to join us here. I would like to say my heart goes out to you all & I hope you are looking after yourselves & taking the time you need to get through this. It is a difficult & sad time, for me I found talking about it with the people around me helped much more than keeping it to myself & I have been very lucky in that I have amazing family & friends (& of course everyone here.)

Congratulations to all the BFP's I missed whilst I was away & good luck to those BD'ing.

Hmm i dont know what to count as my CD1 though. I had an early scan when i was 8+4, as i suspected something was wrong. I then found out the baby had died at 7 weeks. When i would of been 9+0 i had an ERPC, which i think is similar to a D&C.

Me and OH spent time planning the timing aswell, as i possibly am starting uni in sept 2010 and we are getting married in June 2010.
Now i dont care if i am pregnant when i get married, as long as i have a healthy baby :)

Im to afraid to use a HPT as i got so excited seeing the BFP last time and it will get me down seeing it, but knowing its not real :(

Also the same as you, i have found that concentrating on the future and ttc'ing has helped me get over this loss. Even though i have a little cry sometimes still :)

I might just try and go for it this month without any OV tests, then if it doesn't happen use the tests for next month :) Maybe... hehe xx

I would just count the day of you ERPC as CD1 for ease but be prepared for it to be a longer cycle than normal as it's probably not the true CD1. If I ov in the next couple of days it will mean my cycle is about a week longer than usual which would mean my real CD1 was about when the bleeding stopped - if that makes any sense:o

Personally if you have OPK's I'd say use them as at least it might make expecting your next AF easier. I was worried if I ov'd late (as I am doing) & didn't know then I might get excited if I got to CD31 with no sign of AF when really it was just because my body was all over the place & AF was going to be a week later than usual.

You sound just like us! We were planning our wedding & then decided to hold off so that we could have another baby first but now I think we might just get married whether I'm pregnant/not pregnant/about to drop! I was also considering on going back to uni part time next Sept so we had originally tried to plan a baby for this Sept so I got the whole year off with the baby before having to fit uni in as well. The best laid plans & all that

I hated keep having to use HPT's to find out if my hormones were back to normal but my very kind & helpful doctors/hospital never bothered to scan me/check me/see me to find out if the mc was complete & over - they were the ones who told me to use the tests & to only ring them if they came back positive after 2 weeks or I thought I had an infection! Everytime I saw the little BFP I kept letting myself think 'Maybe it was twins, maybe I've only miscarried one, maybe I am still actually pregnant' even though the chances of having mc'd one of twins must be tiny.

It's good to still have a little cry every now & then, I wish I could, at first I cried for days but now I can't seem to even when I want to.

My OH was a twin. His mum had a miscarriage and went for a scan and found out her 'cyst' grew arms and legs resulting in the other twin that survived :D

    And become my OH hehe.

I might start usuing them after my holiday :D

hopefully we'll concieve on holiday, hehe. That would be nice.

Right im off home now, i've finished work :D

    Take care xx

We've been trying off and on for over a year now - no luck. I'm not sure I ovulate most months but this month had mucus which I don't usually... coinciding with OH getting man flu :( I know we're hitting the point where docs will take a look at us... but I'm overweight by a decent chunk so there's no point even asking - been down the gym most nights this week desperately trying to kick start some change so we can get either lucky or the wheels in motion to find out what's up.

It's killing me now - especially being surrounded by kids at work all day - a real almost physical pain and grief and the thought is never far out of your mind.
Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!
