  • Hi Ladies,

I had my scan at the EPAU today and unfortunately it was bad news. I've also posted on the pregnancy thread as I wanted to share my story as I know I've been trawling the internet for the past week looking for some assurance/advice.

I started bleeding last Tuesday afternoon. It started as a pinky dc charge when I wiped and turned to brown the bright red blood by late evening. With hindsight last Monday/Tuesday I was incredibly bloated (I looked like I'd put on 3 stone overnight ) so much so that my Mum thought I had my dates wrong. I called NHS direct and was advised that unless I was in pain or bleeding heavily to call my GP the next day (otherwise to go to A&E). My GP said he would call the EPAU. The EPAU booked me for a scan but would only book one once I was past 6 weeks (yesterday). All through I haven't had any pain and the bleeding although not enough to necessitate a pad has been there each and every time I wipe. I started to have very small clots from Friday. Today I had a scan then an internal scan and both showed nothing. They also did a pregnancy test which was negative. My boobs have been sore and huge since I got my BFP but since yesterday they haven't been sore and today seem back to normal.

Of course I'm disappointed and I admit to a little cry when the internal showed nothing but I believe everything happens for a reason and I'm hoping the fate fairy will help me back to the pregnancy thread soon. In the meantime you're stuck with me!

As I've got no idea when the bleeding will stop/when I'll OV/when my next AF is due I'm going to try and be a MSE and not buy any tests so I can't get tempted

Congrats on the BFP I've missed, welcome to the newbies, hugs to those that need them and sticky baby dust to all x

    Iheartfreebies,
Sorry to hear things weren't meant to be this time but I just wanted to say how much I admire your sensibleness (don't think that is even a word!) and realistic attitude. Sadly m/c's are VERY common and I think all these new early tests only lead to more heartache. I'm sure a few years ago half of these m/c's would go undetected and that has to be better for our own sanity! You sound very together and I hope you get another BFP soon.

(((((((((((Iheartfreebies))))))))))) I can totally sympathise with your situation, I am in the same position not knowing when I'm going to OV etc, I stopped bleeding properly the day after my D & C (was told it could take 2 weeks) so I'm a bit confused, I bought some OV sticks to try and give me some help!!

do you mean you're cd12 after AF or cd12 since ov? If you're CD12 after AF then I doubt these will be pg symptoms as a lot of people don't get them so quickly. Do you know if you've ov'd yet?

Thanks for all the messages folks. I have been taking it easy although it is quite hard to do that as I am kind of a get up and go person and I am really struggling with being off work and not being able to do much housework or even better get my spring cleaning/decorating/gardening done . Went into town with my mum for a few hours today and tonight I am shattered - guess its my body's way of saying slow down.

(((((((((((((Iheartfreebies)))))))))))) so sorry to hear your news.

Hope everyone else who is in the 2ww gets good news and sticky beans. Baby dust to all.

Went to the doctors today about mid-cycle bleeding, have swabs next week. If my cycle is following recent I should OV tomorrow but got a negative OPK today so I either already OVed or am not going to just yet and AF will be later than current expected date. Got no great answer from the doctors, have to go for blood test and swabs next week so will know after that...

Hi everyone, Is it ok if i join you all?
I used to be on the pregnancy club list but found out that i lost my baby last week. I had to go in hospital for an op to get everything out, as it was a missed abortion/miscarriage, and i didn't bleed.

Me and OH are going to be trying again after i stop bleeding which should be sometime next week.

Has anyone on here tried again staright away after a miscarriage? (sorry if its sensitive to some)

    xx
