Scottishchick, I really feel for your friend, last year two weeks before my wedding we found out my 10 year old niece had a massive tumour in her abdomen, fortunately it was benign but she had to have it removed a week after the wedding we went through hell, I'm thinking of you and your friend.0 -
Hi all
I have been following this thread for a while and have read most of it! The advice on her has been fantastic.
I wonder if anyone can offer me some advice?
I came off the mini pill on 1st Feb and then immediately had a period. I then waited 48 days for my next period to begin.
I had a normal period and counted the first day of my period as CD1. Around CD13 and CD14 I had pains in my sides, like period pains but did not really register any major difference in CM. I know I did not imagine these pains and was pretty sure that I had ovulated.
I am now on CD32 and have no sign of AF yet??? I know I am probably panicking but I am so worried years of pill and mini pill have ruined things and I will never have normal cycles again! I have done an ebay test and it was negative.
I keep telling myself I obviously just have a long cycle but I am sure it wasn't like this before I went on the pill!
Any advice to put my mind at rest.
Thanks and sorry for the rambling. Good luck with trying all, I hope we all get what we want. xBump due 30th December 2009 :j0 -

Oh Catowoman i am so sorry, 6 wks is a very long time, so i think a d&c may help alot. I was told they can make you feel great (my mother has had 6!!!). I am here if you need to pm me, i know it can be a rough time, look after yourself and your OH and don't worry about anyone else.
Last night i got quite upset as OH failed in his efforts, he sooo stressed again (not bding this time?) so i turned over and went to sleep, but slept really badly, as did OH. Anyway about 3am i felt a sharp, short stabbing pain in my left hand side, about where i would expect my ovarie to be?? Could this be ovulation? I have never felt anything like that before. FF told me that i was due to ovulate yesterday and EWCM has been around for a day or so. Anyway i now really want OH to come home and enjoy bding with me. I am a slight emotional wreck today as i really want the bfp this month as i think it is one way i have got over the mc. The doc kep saying at least you know you can do it! So that hasn't helped.
Anyway i am sorry for the long post, just really want to sit here and cry, but i know that is silly. The last bfp came after only bding 3 days before oving, so we have done 2 days before this time and will hopefully get today as well, so fingers and toes crossed.
Very sticky baby dust to all, glad you have arranged something with OH Madmac, enjoyLeopardlady

Big hug Catw0man, not much more I can say but will be thinking of you x Hope you get on OK and will be ready to try again soon :grouphug:
Scottishchick - fingers crossed that it isn't as bad as we always fear x
Leopardlady - don't men drive you mad? Big hug to you and let it out if you want to, we all have days like that. Yup, I suspect you felt the egg being released so if you do get him to co-operate, lie on that side afterwards!!! You never know, worth a try and I'll be doing exactly that in about 13 days time
Maybebaby, welcome! I can't advise on that score - I came off the pill many years ago and don't remember how long my cycles were, but it did eventually settle on a 27/28 day cycle routine. I'm sure you'll be SS with the rest of us though, as it only takes one BD at the perfect time x
Good luck to all - as I already knew, AF arrived this morning so on CD1 again...0 -
Madmac I am sorry to hear about AF, but at least this month sounds a little more exciting and with a secret rendez vous, you never know!Leopardlady

My AF has just about regulated now but it took just over 12 months of being off the pill to do so which included some cycles over 100 days! I'm now at around a 35 day cycle. I can't remember what they were before BCP but I'm thinking around 30-35 days then as well probably. It can take ages, apparently agnus castus can help if you want to try a herbal remedy?
Well I tested for ovulation today but it was negative which stumped me, I was hopeful as I'd had EWCM and my cervix is high and quite soft. I didn't even have a second line though so felt very disappointed. We'll just keep BDing as much as possible though and hopefully it will work and we'll get a BFP soon.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member #398 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T
