elastigirl that is a bit off especially if they don't know your pregnant. I'm sure they just got over excited and completely forgot about your situation when mentioning things. I'm sure with hindsight (if they've realised) they'll feel a bit bad for it.

Still, well done you for dealing with it. Can understand totally why it annoyed you though...it is pretty insensitive. Hope your ok anyway and it didn't get to you too much. Just put your feet up, relax and enjoy the rest of your evening.

Oh and by the way, feel free to stay with us as long as you like. You can help everyone symptom spot!! Ha ha

    Hi ALL,

just popped in to let you know I am still here. Although I read posts everyday, sometimes dont have enough time topost also.

Everything is fine here at the moment. I must say since I started taking the vitamin C and Multivitamins I dont feel so tired and down all the time.
I have also brought a new book for PCOS sufferers that is offering some extremely good information on how to cope with the condition and how to improve chances of conceiving. (so watch this space LOL)

Althoug now ive typd that It could be the fact i haven't had to work for the past 2 wks due to half term. BUT all ends tomorrow when us teachers and nursery teachers get back to work. I have so enjoyed my 2wks off until yesterday, I was phoned by my manager the person who owns the pre-school and she has asked me to go in tomorrow morning and lay 3 of our staff off. (how can I do that??) I feel so awful and now that has got to me as all these ladies need the jobs they have.

Really cannot face doing it to be honest. I know when I took the job it included hiring and firing, but ive only ever had to hire, and now times are hard it is a nightmare.

Hubby came home friday to inform me the staff meeting he was called in for was to tell him he will be getting a 10% pay CUT. As he is self employed he has to pay 20% tax on his wages every week and add the 10% pay cut it works out basically like being taxed 30% on his wages every wk.

Well im sure we will meddle through. Sorry to vent off on here ladies, but I was so happy until I got told friday and yesterday about this, and this morning all I can think about are these 3 ladies who are being laid off, and because we are committee run no-one here gets redundancy pay. One girl onyl been here 6 months.

WELL back to subject in hand I have my 2nd blood test on 27th of April,

    baby dust to all

Hi, just wanted to do a quick first post :) I got married in March and we're now TTC our first child, we started TTC just before the wedding so am now in cycle 2. I'm excited at the prospect but also aware it could take a long time before we get pregnant. Having fun trying though :) Also trying to resist spending lots on HPTs and OPKs though have bought a cheapie pack of the latter...telling myself I'll be stronger on the HPTs though and not test until a couple of days after AF is due so I don't waste money on negative tests!

    Anyway...hello :)

phew just got rid of sil and family, i am shattered. Even though i am now pg (only 4 weeks) i am of course still a bit sensitive from my loss as i was only a week or two behind my sil, I didn't have a problem with her but it was bil who got on my wick. he kept rubbing her tummy all the time and i mean all the time! Kissing it and saying the baby wants food the baby wants a drink etc. They do not know i am pg and felt this was a bit over the top.

I feel i can't leave you and move to the other board yet as the min i did last time i had to come straight back. Sorry tmi i have been on knicker watch been feeling very wet and was sure i had started to spot but i hadn't thank goodness. I wish we could hibernate for the whole nine months and get away from all the stress and strains. So that our beanies can grow and stay put untill we wake up to give birth.

I feel like I'm constantly writing about CM and wee on this thread, but just wanted to say Elastigirl that it's taken me ages to get used to the wet, gushing feelings of pregnancy and I still rush to the toilet thinking it's blood and I'm 12 weeks.

I'm so sorry to hear that your SIL and BIL were insensitive. Do they know about your mc? If they do then I think you have every right to be peed off. I know they are caught up in their own good news but that's no excuse for not thinking of the feelings of others.

Fingers tightly crossed for those hoping for BFPs in the coming week. We need a fingers crossed smilie for this thread:D.

Glad i am not the only one that it wet! lol I just had to run off and check again it's so odd! i didn't have this last time or when i was pg with my ds. Yes bil family knows about mc and ectopic as i was in hospital for a few days. I knew it would have been hard no matter what. i think some people just think well get over it your pg now but i will always want the baby i lost. They thankfully didn't ask me any questions as i do want to put it firmly in the past, infact they didn't even ask how i was. Which is fine but the thing that got to me the most was even though he didn't want to they kept trying to make my ds put his hands on her tummy to feel the baby moving and kicking. I actually walked out of the room at that point.

My ds made me laugh as he said i don't like aunty xxx she has a big tummy and tells me off.

Anyway I must focus on this little one sticking now and forget about them. the next time i will see them now she when she has had the baby.

Baby dust and lots of glue to all.

elastigirl im sorry u felt upset, they were bein insensitive especially if theyv known all the facts, anyway sounds like ur ds keeps u smiling :rotfl:

welcome lambanana,, good luck TTC have fun ;)

Im on nights again and feel a bit
Im on CD7 and this was the worst AF iv had since stoppin my pill in oct, my AF finished friday and was only the 3rd AF id had but was a really heavy/painful one and i hoped it was the start of getting back to normal cycles, however today iv had really bad cramps again and wandered why this might be??
Thought i might be able to calculate my OV this month as being somewher normal but not so sure now...
  • Hi all, AF is due tomorrow and unless it's an immaculate conception there is no chance I'm pregnant. :o It's been a bit of relief not to be obsessing this month but hopefully I'll be back to SS next month.

I got a text from my mate yesterday to say that her DD (6 months old) has a tumour. She's being scanned and tested this week and they will find out by the end of the week if it's cancerous. I can't imagine what she is going through but fingers crossed it'll be good news.

Congrats Elastigirl, I hope you say something to your BIL about his insensitive behavious once you are able to tell them you are pregnant.

Good luck to everyone else this month. Do you all realise that those of us who aren't pregnant yet won't have a baby this year. Where did the time go? :D
