Jovichick, welcome! Yup, there are lots of abbreviations that get used and I found the best guide to be this one - once you get used to them you will type very quickly on here I have found!

Catherine - good to hear from you again and I'm sure somebody with more BFP knowledge will be along to reply. Haven't not got that far yet myself I just don't know, but fingers crossed for you anyway x
Nikabella - hi! Lovely to have you here again and that pregnancy board sounds scary if it runs that fast. I struggle enough keeping up on here - oh well, will just have to spend longer at the computer I suppose
All this talk of lovehearts is interesting - and I new one on me! I might just give them a try, thanks x
Still on holiday here and trying to BD plenty - but I'm losing interest now - just don't tell the OH! So will be wishing the 2WW away as usual with you Leopardlady - lets hope good news for both of us this cycle, and everybody else of course xx0 -
Hi guys, welcome to all newbies. I'm on CD27 and 13 dpo but not very confident this month. I was so hoping I would be as it's OH's birthday on Sat and it would've been a great present. Does anyone know when my temperature would drop if AF was on her way? It has been 36.3 all week and AF is due tomorrow. Can't really get to grips with this temping.

Morning All,
I've just popped in to ask a quick question.
I'm on CD32, (of an irregular cycle), has anyone gotten a positive result not using the first wee of the day?Beth - L2L4L (Looking to Live for Less)

I got a positive result with afternoon wee for my DS.
After a lot of thought & heart searching we have decided to carry on TTC for another year when I will be 44, if nothing has happened by then, we will abandon it as we feel that we will definately at 44 & 49 be too old to cope with a baby.
We have never done temperature charting, I have been & bought a pack from boots, how long do you have to be charting before you can see a pattern of your cycle & how do you know when you are fertile?
Sorry for sounding thick after already having a child already, but we had only been married for eight months when we fell for DS & the passion seems to have died down since then.0 -

I have had a pos not using first pee of day but I was a few days late.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
I had positive using wee at about 7pm 1-2 days before AF due (10 dpo in a 28-29 day cycle) using ebay cheapie0

To see the pattern you really need the part just beofre ovulation until you get your period, this then lets you know how long your luteal phase is as this bit does not really vary in your cycle. If you are fairly regualr then this should give you an indication of when you ovulate etc, but without any prior knowledge it would be best to start the first day of your period (CD1 when proper flow occurs) and temp the whole cycle, although you can start whenever really. If you are not regular then it might take a few months to get a grip on your cycle.
you are fertile just before and possible the day of ovulation, the day after ovulation your temp should rise, but only after so you might have to monitor other things like cervial mucous (CM).
Google about it for more info, there is tonnes available and will tell you about what to do and what not to do etc and you can get blank charts (although I made my own in excel) and what to look for.0 -
Well I have tested, and it was BFN. So now it's just a case of waiting for AF to appear.
I have cycles of between 21-42 days. Drives me mental if I'm honest.
I'm sure I'm not alone in this either.....
Good luck to everyone.Beth - L2L4L (Looking to Live for Less)

Oh dear Fattybooboo I have pregnancy brain already!! My last post was supposed to be asking you how you are doing & if you were coming over to the pregnancy thread but instead I put Pookie who I think is already over there
Definetely lets brave it together!! Hoping that the rest of you will be joining us soon!
Beth I got a positive off of a FR at about 5pm 1-2 days before AF was due & I got a positive from an ebay cheapie in the evening at about 10pm the day AF was actually due. However, everyone & each pregnancy is different.
Baby dust & fingers crossed for all those on their 2ww.

Hi everyone, another newbie here!
Hope this is the right place to post, apologies if it's not - please could you point me in the right direction?
I stopped taking the pill last year because DH and I wanted to start a family. My periods have always been really irregular, and still haven't settled into a proper pattern after stopping the pill. So far my cycles have been 49 days, 35 days and then 27 days. Now I'm on day 32 and think I could be pregnant, but as I don't have a regular cycle I don't know when to do a pregnancy test! When do you think I should test?
Many thanks
Thanks for all your advice, girls. Today is day 37 and still no sign of my period. Going to wait until the weekend to test as longest cycle has been 49 days so perhaps should wait a little bit longer. Have been incredibly tired which is unusual, going to the toilet every five minutes (or at least, that's how it feels!) and have had feelings like I get when I have a period for the last few days, although they've gone now. Dying to do the test, but I know if I do it now that it may be too early to show anything anyway. My husband went out this morning and bought some tests, so we're all ready....!0
