BD'ing a couple of times a month is never going to make a baby!

Um... actually, we only did it twice this month, the day before ov, and 2 days before that! :rotfl:

I've had a really stressful time at work, had odd temps that didn't drop last cycle, and had basically given up until our referral appointment - charting this month was only to gather info! Then I got spotting and a big dip in temperature at 11dpo... I can only guess this was the fabled 'implantation'

Thanks for all your congrats - still waiting for the doc to confirm it - their POAS test didn't pick anything up and my veins wouldn't behave enough for a blood test, but according to the nurse 1 Sainsburys test, 1 cheap internet dip test stick and one Clearblue Digital with Conception Indicator can't all be wrong!

Morning all, news seems to be coming thick and fast on here now - what a week to be away and out of it! So just quickly logging in while OH is fast asleep still.

Welcome Fishcake (and any other newbies I have missed in the last 24 hours!) and we look forward to reading your news as and when. I also count CD1 as the day AF starts if in the morning, or the day after if it is later - but my OV still seems to be moving about each month, so I'm really no clearer these months on!

Mrsmb - I think that is sounding more and more positive, I really do! So look forward to reading good news from you soon, fingers crossed.

Ah nunnygirl - so glad we have a place to vent to understanding people on here, you did make me smile! I'm hoping for you also x

Hayley11 - I used to think the same (about the 2 times a month thing) but meeting all these youngsters that swear to have only BD once and still get BFP then I still tell myself you just never know when luck will come your way - although sometimes that can be very hard to believe. Oh well ;)

AnnieM - Yes, great news!!!!!! Many congrats, you've made my day :j

    Love to all x

Woohoo annieM that is fantastic news :) I am sooo happy for you and your OH, may the next nine months bring happiness and then a gorgeous little bundle of fun :)

Well I think we are not going to have such a good mont, my OH is soo stressed at work and is too tired to think about anything this month. But we will see how it goes and i will try not to get too stressed about testing!

Loads of baby dust to all, great to have newbies, welcome Fishcake i hope you have a short journey on to the pregnancy thread :) Another glorious day today, and my best friend is coming to visit, then i am going to watch the rugby in wales, so a great weekend here, I hope everyone else will have a great weekend :)

Congratulations Annie :j :j :j :j I'm so happy for you, that's just fantastic news!!!! I'll look forward to seeing you on the Pregnancy thread. Does that mean you'll get a December baby then?

Catherine - Implantation is what happens about 8-10 days after an egg is fertilised (conception) should everything go well. It's when the fertilised egg implants itself into the wall of the uterus so that it can begin to develop. This is the earliest you are theoretically able to start getting symptoms as it's when your body begins to release hormones. So approximately 8-10 days after ovulation you may feel slight cramping or pain & get slight spotting which can all be signs of implantation. With my DD I don't remember feeling implantation but this time I definetely felt it - it was quite painful for such a small occurence! I also tend to get ovulation pains.

My DD has broken out in Chicken Pox this morning!! Looks like a week at home with a spotty child for me - I'm not complaining!!! Poor poppet has a huge one in her hair though!

    Sticky baby dust.

Thanks Nikabella........this has a familiar ring to it and explains a few things;) Although spotting was combined with what I'm assuming is EWCM (Yay I know something:D ), tried to tell DH and he got all grossed out:rotfl:

Aww sorry to hear about your DD, hope she doesn't suffer too much! And having the week at home should be quite nice:D

Lol, my OH was a little grossed out by EWCM originally (although how when he has seen DD's birth I'm not sure :rotfl: ) but he was well up on it by the end!

He works as a PHP (website) developer & does self employed work, one of his SE jobs was to design a women's health website, the clieny was explaining how he wanted ovulation calendars etc & my OH replied "Don't worry I know all about EWCM"!!!!! I think that's the first time he's ever said that to a client :rotfl:
