Don't know that I cope as such, I just keep on plodding on to be honest. Another month, another AF. Almost normal to me now.
This is me too. At the end of the day all you can do is your best every month to try and get pg. If it doesn't work, keep trying.
I will also say (and I know I keep saying it) I rarely symptom spot so I don't get myself worked up all month that I have fallen pg.
I spend the month just plodding along, BDing every couple of days and generally trying not to think about it, that way I'm not as disappointed as I used to be when AF shows up.
I must admit that when we first started TTC 4 years ago I got pg in the 2nd cycle. I believe its because we weren't thinking abut it at all, it was purely, "lets see what happens"
I got pg the second time shortly after receiving a referral letter to see a specialist. I believe that was because we had the appointment booked and it was like a weight lifted off our shoulders.
Both times I fell pg I didn't feel any pressure or stress at all. I believe the two (stress and pressure) are a factor in women not falling pg.....maybe not a huge factor but it can't help IMO.
(I'm still on this thread because something went wrong and I lost both pg's)
Someone posted on an older thread exactly how many things must be perfect in our bodies for a woman to conceive. Its scary!
From what I can remember it was things like....
A woman has to obviously ov that month, then the egg has to be healthy, then the lining of the womb has to be good, then the sperm must not only be good but in the right place at the right time, then they have to get to together, then once conception takes place the egg has to make it to the womb and attach, then the embryo has to develop well......etc etc etc.....its a wonder anyone gets pg!!:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

   Cor when put like that it really is scary!!! Quite funny really though, when you consider that people are able to have "accidents" lol, its a wonder when so many factors have to be in line with each other! :rotfl:
I wish I could have an accident. I try to pretend that I'm not ttc to try to relax a bit and it just don't work, lol
Definitely in the club with you though Shelly. No symptom spotting here on the whole (well not out loud anyway) No seriously, I try not to because it does ease the disappointment a little bit. AF with me at the moment (but I was expecting her) so moving along to next month......

Hi everyone,
AF showed up this afternoon, if you've read previous posts then you'll know that officially been trying 5 months now but wanted to start trying April 2007 but we weren't able to. This is the first month that it has hit me quite hard and feel very tearful at the mo. Don't know whether it's all the BFP's this month, maybe I lulled myself into thinking I would be another one too this month. Mother Nature can be so cruel, all the years of taking precautions to not get pregnant then eventually finding Mr Right late in life (got married April 2007 when I was 34). We knew time would be against us so decided to try for a family immediately, having no AF the month after Honeymoon felt too good to be true and it was. Instead of a baby I got a tumour! 13 months later (and it really is a blessing that it was this quick) AF's returned so we could start trying. I know 5 months isn't long but it feels like a lifetime when TTC.

Sorry you're feeling down becs....it must seem so much longer than 5 months tho with having to put things on hold for a bit....i had to do the same as ive not long had a back op....and im 39!!!! Maybe its too late now, I dont know.
Hope you feel a bit better soon and start again xxDS Anthony Steven 07.06.92DD Becky Emma 24.01.94DD Rose Grace Jean 12.05.090 -
Thanks Angela,
It's good to know others that understand what you're going through.
As for leaving it too late, My friend started trying at 34 and conceived at 42 so keep trying! Good Luck.

God!!! how do you do that?!!!! I guess the longer you are TTC the more you might know your own bodies? I think next month i will know all the symptoms i had are nothing to do with PG!!! and maybe i wont symptom spot!
I worry about age as 33, but i guess there are probs at any age, just been with a friend who was going through the menopause, no babies and then she feel PG (7 months now!!) hope for all!:j  :j0 -
Can I just ask, when you all say "symptom spot", what is it you're looking out for?
When I got my BFP (in June then m/c'ed in Aug) I didn't feel any different at all - just did the test that day cos I was due on..
AF due this Friday so the countdown is on... *hops about impatiently*0 -

I find it easy really not to SS (symptom spot) these days because I used to SS but I'd get so down with the disappointment and one day I just had enough.
If I get a pain in my boobs or they look fuller or I get a bit of spotting near AF I explain them all away! :rotfl:
Also I had no symptoms at all with pg 1 and with pg 2 I only got sickness once I had got the BFP. So maybe I'm just someone who gets no signs of pg until the pos test
Its my way of coping, I say to myself, "don't look for signs and then you won't be disappointed when AF arrives.....well not as much as if I had let myself believe you were pg"
Oh and after 4 years I have gotten used to it.....being disappointed that is:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0
