They suggest every other day for BD, as it gives men chance to "re-generate" their supply

Thank you so much becs and scottishchick - for the reassurance and wise words. I have been the same sort of OV phase on a 28 day cycle for so long that it will please me if it now gets longer, but I did start to wonder this month! Still no line appearing, but I won't worry any more about it and will try to just enjoy for BDing this month without the 2WW stress!

Baby dancing - (as in the creating of one so as not to offend I suppose!) and don't worry, the jargon can take a while to get used to.

A handy webpage with explanations for you:

Hi everyone, Sorry haven't been on in a while. Reason being I just couldn't face it for a while.

I am officially out of the running in TTC. I have been informed by my doctor that my PCOS is as severe as it can get with this disease and unfortunately it has ruined my chances of concieving. I am not getting periods although when taking agnus castus I clung to the hope after 1 period, but it made me really sick in the end so had to stop.

Doctor says nothing more can be none for me because im not responding to any of the drugs/ treatment ive been given. So my chances of concieving now are <1%.

It came as a real blow , hence not wanting to come on the thread for a while, no offence to all of you as you are all great.

I would just like to say congratulatinos to all those of you with BFP and goodluck to the rest of you really.

I will occasionally pop back in to see how you are all getting on, but just wanted to let you all know I haven't forgotten about any of you, but just feeling really down at the moment now.

Anyway that's me official out of the running and I hope every one has goodluck trying if not good fun

Oh, kencokenco, that's really sad to hear :(

I'm really annoyed & frustrated. Am currently sitting at 14 DPO, but my last cycle was 34 days (OV on day 17), so that means prolly another 4 days until AF would be due to show up. Anyway, I've been feeling a bit nauseous over the past 2 days - which for me is HIGHLY unusual (I have the strongest stomach and never ever get tummy-sick). So was convinced that a bit of naughty early testing would yield a nice surprise. But it was a BFN this morning! Thought since it was 14 DPO I'd register something, but I guess my long cycle messes up the average.

Anyway, am still hopeful it will turn out to be a BFP in a few days...going to try and exercise some willpower and not test until day AF is due, but this nausea thing has me CONVINCED I'm preggers.

Or it's just all in my head  :p

    Good morning ladies,

Oh Kencokenco, I am so sorry to hear your news, please don't feel that you need to explain or apologise for not being here, we all understand and would not want you to feel you need to talk to us here on this thread. Hopefully you will find some of us on other threads that have less painful subjects. Good luck and i hope that find tonnes of happiness and love in your life.

I am on CD10 and OH is soooo keen this month, so just hoping that we can get down to some serious bding in the next week or so :)

Baby dust to all, and hold out a little while longer aless02, you never know, early testing can be a waste of time, and holding out until the day AF is due or later is best. Although i always fail in this, but hey ho :) good luck and i have my fingers crossed for you :)

Thank you so much for the update Kencokenco, I really feel for you. My sister was also told her chances were practically nil in the end and after much soul searching they took the decision to apply for adoption. They are now well down that route and it has certainly made them feel more hopeful about the future - so don't rule anything out as you never know what is around the corner. As Leopardlady says, we are happy to chat here or on other forums. Hugs and love to you x

Aless02 - step away from the tests and give yourself a few more days in true money saving style, of course! Then fingers crossed for you to cheer us all up x

Sorry to hear your news Kencokenco. Do you mind if I ask whether it was a GP or a fertility specialist who told you this, and how drastic the interventions were?

The reason why I ask is because I also had very severe PCOS and didn't have a period for many years. Clomid and Fertility drugs didn't help with this, and nor did ovarian drilling initially, but I was put on super-strength fertility meds to try an IVF cycle, and this did work enough to allow me to conceive no 1. I then went on the conceive no 2 and 3 naturally (though again no 3 took many years to achieve).

My experience was that GPs were useless about this, as was the first gynaecologist I saw, but a fertility specialist with lots of experience of IVF and the drugs used in it, was able to offer some hope.
