Hi there Mouche, nice to meet you and I am sure we will be chatting soon!
Well nasty Af arrived this morning. A bit upset about it but nevermind there is alwyas next month. How are all my cycle buddies doing? Thank you Jenny, Becs and Tiger Lilly for the warm welcome.
Jenny, thanks for the abbreviations - have read through and bookmarked so hopefully will be able to understand what everyone says now.
Becs, your diet and lifestyle seems really good and I'm glad the meds and the new diet is working. My problem is no self control. I eat healthy and lose a bit of weight and then go back on the chocs and put it all back again. I'm going to try again next week and this time try to keep the weight off. I'm very unfit and not at all fond of exercise so I'd better make the most of the just-under-a-month I have left before we start trying!
Sorry to hear about AF, TigerLilley. I hope Cupid shoots some baby dust arrows for you on Valentine's.Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)

So, I reported on Friday that AF was starting and I had some light bleeding - brown stuff - on Friday and Saturday then nothing today. Now I'm trying very hard not to get excited because this is what happened last time I got pregnant (and then had early mc). I don't want to test and want to at the same time. It's so annoying, anyone out there want to advise me not to test?

Hey
i havent really posted on here before but i was just reading through the posts and came across this mooncup idea!
What are the thoughts on this, has anyone tried it?
Myself and my partner are also thinking about a new addition to our family and TTC at the moment.0 -
Hello Mouche (have I chatted to you in anonther thread before?!)
Jennynoo STEP AWAY FROM THE TESTS AT ONCE MADAM!!!!!!! :rotfl:
Seriously though-after what youve been through I hope its good news for you at last.
Im confused today. CD17/5dpo. Ive got such a dull ache right down in my abdomen that it feels like Im gonna come on any minute!! My boobs have got really sore since yesterday and my nipples large with veins prominent around them. Im tired. Ive got abit of backache. Ive got thick creamy cm (sorry:o )
Af isn't due for another 10days going by shortest cycle in 13months OR 17days going by my longest cycle in 13months. Ive had a 32day cycle the most over 13months..so that would make af due 15days away. PMS symptoms that long away??!! I bloody hope not, don't fancy feeling as sore and uncomfortable as this for the next 2weeks
Just bought some cheapy ebay preg tests anyway in hope.
Hayley- hows things with you cycle buddy?love my little man he is amazing :j0 -
Tigerlilley, I'm so sorry AF has turned up! What a blumming pain she is. Oh well off to the next cycle for me, you & reverie At least we have our cycle buddies! Jennynoo I have my fingers & toes crossed that you won't have to join us - I'm saying "Do Not Test" but thinking "Test, Test, Test!!"
Keep us updated!
I seem to have had my first ever 30 day instead of 31 day cycle this time. AF was so heavy friday evening that I was up most of the night, even after multiple painkillers & hot water bottle in agony, which isn't normal but then it's been less heavy yest/today than normal. Not sure if it means my cycle is going to change, AF is normally relatively heavy for 5 of the 6 days?!
Mouche, welcome to the thread, as others have said Pregnacare for you is important, however, it is recommended that Vit C & Zinc supplements are good for the OH (if you can get him on board!;) ) I believe it's fine for you to get pregnant at that weight, they say that the ideal BMI for conception is between 20-24 I think. However, weight is something that is currently really worrying me, I'm currently "underweight", not that I really feel it, but my BMI is 16.7 according to the calculators (5ft10 53kg). I was 59kg when I got pregnant with my DD & after having her I dropped to about 49kg, from which I have worked really hard to get to my current weight. I know that anyone trying to loose weight probably finds it annoying that I'm only trying to put it on but it can be just as hard/stressful trying to gain weight. Some people say "Oh you are much too skinny it doesn't look nice" but would never dare say something that offensive to someone who they thought was overweight! I'm so worried that this will stop me conceiving but I eat 3-4 meals a day & snack & don't know what more to do! My periods are regular though so surely that's a good sign??:o
lynzthemadwife, I bought my Mooncup yesterday & have been using for 2 days now & have to say I think it's pretty good. It is intimidatingly big at first & took me several attempts to get inserting/removing it right (& I had one of those OMG I think it's stuck moments!), however, I have not had any leakage at all. Obviously when you first put it in there is a little bit of your passage remaining below it which might have blood coating it so it's worth using a pantyliner to catch any slight smears but I have not had any flooding. I wore it to bed saturday night & thought I could kind of 'feel it', not painful just a little weird/uncomfortable but by this morning I couldn't feel it at all. I paid £22 for mine at Boots but on ebay they are only £17.50  . I have read that some people prefer femmecups (also ebay & cheaper at £15) as they are softer so if I have any problems with my Mooncup I might try one of those. Taking it out can be a little messy but not to bad, but the fact that there is no odour from pads, dryness from tampons & so far no leaks means I am happy.
HTH.

Hi Nikabella, I used to be underweight but mainly thanks to my boyfriend making lovely meals each day my bmi is now 20 but I still worry that I will look huge when I get pg and my biggest worry - because it happened to a friend of mine who is a similar weight - is that I wont be able to breast feed. My friend said she just lost more weight breast feeding so had to stop. Can I ask if you managed to breast feed?Mum to DD born Oct 2009

OK, I think I'm about mentally ready to step up - hopefully!
Similar in circumstances to you, Mouche, in that I needed persuading to TTC as my OH is really wanting one of his own now that so many around us have been having babies. I know in my heart that I do really want to join the club, but am terrified of all that can go wrong I suppose, I just don't like to admit it. I had an eating disorder a few years back and still struggle to keep my weight up ocassionally.
A family member suffered a late mc due to severe birth defects and I hated seeing them go through that. Also, we're not getting any younger and I know my chances of success get slimmer every month!
So I've been taking folic acid and am now trying to take Pregnacare (but as some of you might have read already, it makes me feel pretty poorly) and I suppose I'm just trying to make sure I can do as much as I can to be successful. What am I missing?
Sorry to rabbit on, I didn't realise so much would rush out once I'd started. But as I have done, I'll try to be brave and check in more often with you all!
Fingers crossed for everybody x0
