Update, AF has arrived. Nevermind I'm going to look on to next month. I've unwrapped my new Clearblue Fertility monitor that I bought but didn't wanted to open incase I was pg. I love gadgets and it looks easy enough to work and it should also help with my new addiction for POAS:rotfl: . Sitting here with a bottle of beer and a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge for later. Good luck to everyone else this month.:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0

Congrats molly!
Scottishchick, you were my late buddy! I'll bet I'll be following you by having AF stay soon. This is day 6 and counting, though I've been as much as 10 days late in the past.. I guess if I get as far as 10 days I'll give the doc a ring.Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -
Good luck Jiblets. I'm feeling a lot better about it than I thought I would have. (It's probably this bottle of beer I'm drinking thats making me feel mellow
). I should have known better than to symptom spot as I did that when we were trying for DD and that took nearly a year.:o I think because so many of my friends are pregnant it is making me more impatient whereas the last time I was a lot more relaxed about it. Also this flamin' internet  , I wouldn't have known about BBT, EWCM and ovulation surges etc if it wasn't for it. Last time we just BD'd when we felt like it so it didn't feel so clinical. Maybe too much knowledge isn't a good thing for me.

Hi everyone,
Feeling a lot better today - think I was in shock and full of weird hormones. Thanks everyone for the support and kind words.
Congratulations to Mollythewestie, your story has rekindled some hope in this jaded ttc-er!
Jiblets - do you test for ov? (it's my new favourite thing, this 'am I ov-ing' poas lark - satisfies my poas addiction!:rotfl: ) I'm just wondering if you ov'd later this month. However, I was a bfn baby right the way through, so I'm living proof that it does happen! I'm keeping all digits crossed for you
I will be ov testing this month, more to see if everything is returning to normal than anything else. I don't think we will take (much) time off from ttc - all this has just made me realise how much I (and DH as well tbh) want this.
Babydust and glue to all!

well done all you BFP
I got 2 massive spots and sore BB and im only day 19,!! Oh and im crying at stupid things like X factor!!! I guess im symptom spotting but surely I would not have symptoms of PG yet would I? This feels like such a long 2WW! I think it makes it more slow thinking about it so much!
any way thought i would share my crazy thoughts so i dont have to buy in to them so much!!!!
Good luck all you girls xxxx:j  :j0 -
Hi ladies.. you seem like the one who will know the answer to my ponderings!
For starters, a bit about me.. I came off the mini-pill in April, got a BFP on 25 June but had a m/c around 4 Aug (9wks). We were told to leave it until I'd had two AF's, last one started on 3 Oct and so now we're back to TTC (hark at me with all the lingo!).
AF went on for eight days which scuppered the BD somewhat! What I'm pondering is, are we supposed to be BD more in the week before ovulation than after? It's the sperm which lasts 5 days and the egg which lasts 24hours.. isn't it? In which case if I ovulated on Friday, now we've kinda "missed the boat" and it's just the countdown to the next appearance (or hopefully not!) of AF... is all this right?
I don't know exactly when I ovulate(d) but I do appear to have a 28day cycle, in which case today is CD16 (I think). When we were first TTC it was more a case of "come off the pill and see how long it takes.. oh, that was quick!" so we/I didn't take too much notice of dates. Now I'm back on track and "allowed" to TTC again, I want to pay more attention and get it happening!
Many thanks, and baby dust to all0 -
I think I shall be spending my time flitting from here to the other TTC (not straight forward) thread.
OH & I haven't been using protection since June time when i was diagnosed with PCOS. The treatment and support was very lacking at the time because we werent actively TTC but after much soul searching, crying and talking OH and I are now on the TTC wagon with vengence.
I think I will ask my GP to give me another referral and this time be a bit more conscious and savvy about my choices. Last time I picked the closest consultant with easiest parking but wasnt really suitable. I then later found a wonderful sounding & recommended pcos specialist working from a hospital equal distance away but car park gets heaving! I felt quite silly basing my choice on the parking but hey, you learn the hard way right? right?
So, got OH on multi vits with zinc and I am taking pregnacare. Tried BBT and the hands on for checking for signs of OV but BBT wasnt any good as the other tablets I take mess up my bodys temp. regulation! When I thought I could feel OV, the OPK said I hadnt so who knows. Going to give it a week or so to regain my composure and then head back to the GP and see what they can do because as it is, i take Provera once a month to bring on a bleed which I have to say is ace because im not gettign 3/4 months of build up and agony in one go.
Well thats my story.
Cross posted to the other thread too. xx0 -

Hi elle_gee and welcome to the board! :hello:
You are right about the length of time the egg and little swimmers last. I think the general consensus is to bd every 2-3 days all through the month (or even every day if you like, in the words of my doctor (no joke!)). I think then if you are not sure when you actually ov, you have a fairly good chance of the swimmers being there when you need them. To be honest I think the 2-3 days is more if your dh's pp (population paste) is not of great quality. But if it is ok then bd away to your hearts content! And also the more you just bd when you want to (rather than because you have to) you will probably stay more relaxed about it all and it won't become too "clinical".
AnnieM, glad you're feeling better hun, and you just keep on peeing on them sticks, lol!
Ha ha, nicole136 - I have 2 spots too (and I hardly get spots at all) so you got me at it now :rotfl: . Though I am on CD28 today (after a 33 day cycle last month) so not too long to wait until AF shows herself.
Big congrats to Molly :T gives me hope as a long term tryer so thank you for sharing your exciting news!
And scottishchick - good on ya for picking yourself up, dusting yourself off and moving onto next cycle! It is hard though, isn't it!

My goodness, I dont read this thread for a weekend and there is a huge glut of BFP's! CONGRATULATIONS GIRLS! Wonderful news, that lifts my spirits for sure - surely there must be more!
I am not sure if my cycle is just taking the mickey out of me, I am on CD18 and have for the first time since I knew what it meant I noticed EWCM though Fertility Friend says I ov'd 2 days ago...?
Frankly I think I might be suffering from overkill wanting desperately to BD on the "right days" so am going to try to stop all these calculations etc, it cant be doing me any good. Just going to BD as much as possible!
Good luck and babydust xxReetyre - married on 3rd May 2008 :smileyhea

Hi AnnieM and Rosiebud,
Best wishes to both of you. Know how you feel, I'm going through the "it's not going to happen for me" phase at the moment. Although we wanted to start trying lastr April my cycle had disappeared until cause was established this year and now on meds to sort out. Cycle is now back and I'm charting on fertility friend so officially only been 4 months but because of all the problems it still seems like it's 18 months! On top of all that chart on FF doesn't seem to be making any sense at all! It's putting me as ovulating at completely different days than I would have said myself! Feeling like things are getting more muddled and less hopeful all the time. Also 36 in January and everywhere I turn all I see and hear is about less hope of conception past 35!
Very pleased for all the BFP's but fighting the envy. My friend who tried for 2 years before becoming pregnant is due on tuesday as well so that makes it hit home.
Lets hope we all get the news we desperately want soon!

Just to let you know about a site called ovusoft.com it is a great site and has a free 14 day trial for the software. I have learnt so much about my body from reading taking charge of your fertility by toni weschler. I hope this might help some of you.
take care0
