Afternoon all,
Well we survived Brighton Primark, by the skin of our teeth, it was very busy, but dd is happy, she got some new bits and pieces, I got a few bits too, my feet are aching now, going to gave a rest then a nice hot bath.
Oh has gone to collect little dog , and take her our for a run, we had luch out, so will just grab a sandwich for tea. Washing has dried on the line, and I have sorted it into piles for everyone to take up.
Smoky, hope you feel better soon xx

Hi everybody :hello:
Hugs to all who need them. Smoky, I hope you feel better soon; candygirl, hugs to your dad; and choc.orange, hugs to your son.
I swore I wasn't going to buy any more meat until I'd emptied the freezer out a bit, but was in Somerfield yersterday and they had some good quality meat yellow-stickered which I couldn't refuse. I've now got a free-range chicken in the slowcooker with onions, garlic, butter, lemon and white wine
I feel as if I'm straining my eyes when I type, and I'm sure it's psychological, because of knowing I need new glasses (they should be ready around the end of this week).
I need to write 1.5 reviews tonight. I actually have 3.5 which need doing, but if I kill 2 this evening (including the one that's half-written) I can do the other 2 tomorrow. I also need to figure out how to transfer recordings from my hard disk recorder onto the DVD recorder (bought from a friend for £25) which I have had for ages and never used. A friend is coming over from America for a few days, and I will be seeing her on Thursday evening, and I promised her a copy of a concert recording I taped off the telly. This will of course have added benefits because once I've worked it out I will be able to produce some things I promised to redruby as wellThe other thing I need to do is figure out how to use my new e.on energy monitor
Love Rzl xx :wave:Operation Get in Shape

Just got in so haven't caught up with the thread yet.
Jet, well done :T
Squiggly, she has ALL my make-up (still hidden), some of my socks (still hidden), my hair straighteners (I took them out this morning, I wasn't going to the christening with my hair looking like a lion's mane  ) and my body lotion. That's just the stuff I know for a fact she has, I still have loads of other things missing.
Choccy orange, give your son a hug from meThough if he's anything like master troo, he'll say 'uuuuugggggggghhhhhhhh GERROFFFFFFF ME' :rotfl:
I had more to say but I've had a few luverly bacardis and I can't remember it allI am a coffee bean0 -
Well, I made progress - two large items that were literally tripping me up on the landing have found a permanent home. Curtains - refolded to fit in the drawer of my wardrobe and wrapping paper fits in the duvet bag which the curtains were in! Also condensed two boxes of books to one!!! :j _party_
So, my house is getting there. Feel so much better for that little bit of space.
We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Hi everyone - I've been cooking for what seems like most of the day but I now have lots of cakes and things stocked up and plenty of soup in the freezer. I should have done the ironing but will do that tomorrow.
I've just had a bath and I'm looking forward to Strictly a bit later. I managed to notice that First Knight was on this afternoon, with Richard Gere looking particularly delicious as Lancelot so I've recorded it to watch one afternoon. It's a very long film so will need lots of choccie to give me the stamina to make it through!
Choc Orange - glad the dentist has managed to patch things up temporarily and that DS has been able to eat, even if it was only soft food1
Well, see you later - have a good evening. Let's hope for the same gorgeous weather tomorrow!

Ooooh I've just remembered one of the things I was going to say
Towards the end when about half the people had left, the mum was unwrapping the presents, one was a hand-knitted cardigan. Her reaction was "Lilac? LILAC? He's a BOY!" and then she marched over to one of her friends who has a baby girl and put it on her puchchair for her baby. Quite a few people heard her
It was more bluey lilac than pinky lilac if you see what I mean. I was  then I went 'ooooo eff, where's me drink' and did thisthen suggested to mr troo that it was time we left :rotfl:

Evening all
Was working this morning until 1pm. Came home and went straight into the kitchen to make apple crumble and did scrambled egg on toast for everyone.
Dinner this evening was rabbit casserole with runner beans and mash. Got a mousse thing for pudding.
Was very happy to get my head down for a couple of hours earlier, really needed it.
Done all my daily clicks and sadly not had any surveys today. However, I did find 2p on the floor - don't think that'll quite pay for the flat makeover:rotfl:
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Evening all
I am slightly worse for alcohol so please excuse any ommissions or typing errors:D .
CELYN very many congratulations to you for finishing your dissertation. I think I shall have another drink to celebrate with you! Maybe not!
CANDYGIRL big hugs to you and yours. I used to be a vegetarian but after 20 years and continuous breast-feeding with DS I had to have meat!
Love to all this evening, am going to drink a de-caff tea and go to bed.
