Even though i had a heads up from Chrisca about chocolate body paint in BHS decided to spend my pennies on fence paint instead so yesterday did all the fences cant believe the weather still its handy for doing things in the garden .

    Morning!

Chocorange, hope the dentist sorts your lad out, what a horrible thing to happen.

Celyn - congrats on getting your dissertation finished and handed in, the relief must be fantastic, or perhaps it will be when you finally finish doing things for dr jekyll and get some sleep!

Beth - I laughed so much about your antics with the sign and hole, well done!

Hugs to all in need and sorry, but brain doing a good sieve impression, so if I've forgotton some important things I'm sorry! Congrats where due and hello to anyone new who has appeared, know there was someone with a fun name!

Well I took dd2 and dd1 shopping, dd2 went off round town with her mate, and dd1 and me had a lovely, if expensive and tiring, time! Was pleased as I got everthing I went out for, and also nipped into Asda and got dd1 one of the £15 coats, she's chuffed to bits.

Washing today and then ironing, and roast chicken for lunch - bought the yorkies this week as I have now given up trying to make the damned things! Not old style, but it's not money saving to keep chucking the ones I make out either!

DS is at rugby at the mo and I'm cheering him on from the car, lol! Got a nice big flask of tea and a sarnie with me! Thought I'd multitask and catch up here at the same time! Best get out and do some shouting and cheering in a bit and be a generally embarassing mother!

Have a good day all xx

    Hi guys,

Not been at all well the last couple of days - extremely tired and feeling nauseous and shaky. Some sort of virus I expect. Feeling a little better today but still a bit shaky.

I need to try and get on upstairs today, BIL put up a shelf in there yesterday over where the bed will be and it looks good.

Minted lamb chops and all the trimmings for tea tonight (by request) probably beans on toast for lunch.

Hugs to all in need today.

    Smoky. xxx

    Morning all

Quite nice out today. One wash load is now done and on the line, the other is in the WM.

BM is on, and I've just put a beef joint in the SC, so we're having beef with all the trimmings for lunch. Last time I made roasties, I left the skins on, and just gave them a good scrub. They went down well, so that saves me having to peel the spuds :T :T

Other than that, it's a pretty easy day really. We're going to go out for a walk later - make the most of the weather!

Hope everyone's well. ((((HUGS)))) to those who need one.

Chilly here today, but hopefully it will brighten up later.
Roast beef for dinner, hopefully the joint will make extra meals as it was a bit pricy, well it will make extra meals if I hide it from hubby, lol.
I hope everyone has a good day, I'm going to snuggle under one blanket & make some more squares to make another one with.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    Morning folks,

Smokey - hope you feel better soon
Choc.Orange - Awful about your son, hope you get things sorted

I have not really got any concrete plans for today. Did not paint my cabinet yesterday as I was tired and the light was not the best, so will try and do that today. Off out to Mr T in a min, want some Bramley. Got some ironing to do, plus I have been having a look at bedroom inspiration - I STILL cannot decide which bed to have, you would think it was life or death the way I am going about it!!

Weather is nice and sunny here, but all washing is up to date, so...

    Have a good one

  • Just a quick update from me

Police have been to see my son and they have some great news. They have the $£^^$£"s in custody. So even though my son is still aching and bruised hes feeling alot happier now.
We have to wait until just after 12 to ring the emergency dentist. So not too sure what to expect there.

Thankyou everyone for your kind thoughts and wishes. I have passed them on to my son. He did look at me quite strange though. But he knows how much i love coming on OS and talking about everyone on here.

I put the sheets in the WM for a good boil, and they have just finished, will hang them out in a min.

SC bubbling away merrily, I am doing chicken in there today and all the veg, so it should be OK, never done chicken before usually do beef and that turns out alright, I sealed the chick the same as I do the beef, was'nt really sure about that but didnt want to put it in raw....what do you all do????

Celyn Well done, I bet you're glad its finished :T

ChocolateOrange hope all goes well with the dentist for your DS x

Hester do you knit or crochet your squares??? I do both and sit quite happily doing them watching my fav programmes or a good film, and as I get the fidgets if I dont do something I now have a bag full, I sent some off last week to the charity but they soon mount up again, make good blankets dont they, warm too. :D

Smoky Ahhh poor you, do you think you might be overdoing it? After all you have been through you may need building up a bit :A Take care and I hope you feel better soon x

mummysaver I used to love being an embarassing mother, :rotfl: :rotfl: It sounds like you had a good time yesterday with the shopping, bargains too:T

Better go put the sheets on the line or it will be time to fetch them in again.
