There is no way I can think of round the problem of needing a card to sell on ebay, will you even be able to get a paypal account for instance?

I would also check completed listings for those Ty bears, they have virtually no value at all now as they cost so much to post and so there are hundreds of them going unsold at 50p and 99p.

You could try one of the other auction sites like Ebid i'm not sure they actually need a card to sell.
the beanies are spongebob and co plus many of others that hold price not real old ones and also the new ty girlz so yes have checked prices. also have some special ones with certificates signed by ty that came from harrods two sets of one type we saw last week sell for £50.00 per set we would be happy getting half that to cover just what we paid. have listed on other auction sites but never get views nevermind bids

Then I think you're stuck unless you have time to car boot them or put them in the small ads? The other sites do require a bit more patience as there are very few buyers.

I would have suggested Amazon as they sell toys, but once again you need a card to register.

WELCOME fedupandskint, gingababe & well done for listing stuff ,

    even listing 5 a week makes a difference:T
Blakespops not sure what you can do with ebay without bank cards, boot sale is the best option i guess.

Soolin, i lose something & go through the mad panic everytime i pack stuff up to send them off, it takes me 15 times as long because i check, recheck, the check again!! it can get very stressful.

I sold 16 items this sunday everyone paid bar one idiot, who decided the shipping cost were too high & refuses to pay:mad:.

It took all day to parcel up weight, weigh again, check emails for correct details, check bag for correct item, wieght again.......:o

I cant image the volume of stuff you probably work with

    Afternoon,

I'm in a bit of a pickle with one of my ebay items. Sold on Sunday, only just realised (before posting it) that the item is damaged... Not sure what I can do, other than send a super apologetic email and a full refund.

On the upside, I listed and sold another two items yesterday. My bag of cr*p is diminishing, slowly but surely...

    Guys,
I posted some items at the posta office today, & don't forget that the prices change next week.....
I picked up a new leaflet.
    Hope that helps

There's always more where that came from:eek:. yesterday I found a bag of clothes from the 1970s, I am going to wash them all and freshen them all up and list them as vintage..cheek I know but every penny counts if OH is made redundant soon.I'm still putting every penny I make from this new venture away in a different pot for treats.

That is true. I have one (rather huge) bag into which all my 'items for ebay' go... I don't think I have ever seen the bottom of the bag :o I just keep finding more [strike]tat[/strike] stuff to go in there.

I have just sent a grovelling email to my ebay buyer. I hope they are understanding about it.

What a lot of activity! Well done everyone.

I'm forever losing things and have a mad panic making more of a mess trying to find them.

If I don't lose them, I quite often find that items are damaged or need a good wash or not quite how they looked when I photographed them late at night! I always email and apologise and so far every person has gone ahead with the purchase at full price.

I had to sit and watch my mother in law throw bag fulls of 60s,70s and 80s clothes out. She refused to let me have them as she didn't believe people would buy them so she sent them to the tip  She's now threatening to clear out her house and she says she'll just get a skip or two as I have enough stuff to deal with already. So that's another reason to get on with selling my carp.

Anyway still haven't got Auctiva sorted so looks like I'm going to have to start another master profile. Not sure whether I can import the existing listings. Hope I can or I will be soooo cross!

mrscmr what kind of book did you sell for that money?

Blakespop i have an account with building society, i think it still is one? and have a debit card.
You can get a basic, no frills bank account with a debit card, do a search in the budgeting & bank accounts forum for 'basic bank account'
