  • hey been a lurker have now listed 71 items today, but only 8 have photos! my camera phone broke so just waiting for hubby to get home so i can use his!

hoping to do better than last time where i actually lost money and ended up getting my account suspended because someone paid 1p for a top and did not find it good enough quality so gave me negative feedback! 1p and it was a new t shirt!

lost my interest but with x mas coming going to try it again and see if my faith can be restored!
though uploading and taking 60 pictures is not going to be much fun for me tonight!

Well done everyone - you're all doing great! I'm still off track - 2 kids keeping me busy. Another weekend of no listings. Was going to take photos today but its so dark and miserable. Anyway, I have tidied my airing cupboard and thrown a load of rubbish out and put the half decent stuff in the charity bag or the ironing pile so feeling better.
Floxxie - did I read that right? 40k??

GeologyRocks, I absolutely dread opening my messages - it makes me feel really sick!

cazzab you did indeed read that correctly. Several years ago I made £13k profit from eBay by selling my OHs vintage rubbish. I still have a lot more and his mum has added more to it. I have a library full of books ready for Amazon and GreenMet. If I sell the items they should make a good dent into raising the £40k.
Then there is MBing, MSing, cashback sites and reinvesting the money made elsewhere to make more money. I keep the money made from the various challenges that go on separate from OHs salary and then I do what I can to make more money from that money. My debts are on 0% or from family so I'm not in a rush to pay them back at the moment.

Apart from looking after the children and the house, it is my 'little business'; it's just a shame I am not very motivated at the moment!

P.S. I am £100 short of hitting the target I need to pay off my Eurodisney holiday. Just need to raise the spending money now.

Welcome to those who are joining us - you appear very motivated so hopefully some of that will rub off on those of us who are lagging a little. Will add you to the first page later.

    Hi credit crunch,
sorry to hear that you have problems with not getting an item.
it is the SELLERS responibility that you havnt got it. You should file an INR - item not received dispute if the seller has not refunded you (I assume that you paid via paypal). She should refund you IN FULL via paypal, and then SHE should claim from Royal Mail as she has the contract with them through postage to deliver your eyeshadow.

If you feel unsure about what to do, go onto the ebay community/discussion/question and answers board, and they can answer any quesions there.

You are being really calm and nice about it. You shouldnt be out of pocket in any way if the item hasnt arrived.
Dont forget - you can neg her, she cant neg you!!
    Cheers, longhotbath

I've been on the opposite side this. Well I am. A buyer sent an email earlier today saying she hasn't received it. I'm going to wait the 21 days then refund her, as I don't know if they are being genuine or not. So I'm protecting myself, buyers have all sorts of protection and sellers get the raw end. Don't file a INR dispute until the 21 days are up and the seller informs you what is happening.
  • Wow Floxxie!! Can't believe it - you must have a very big house!!! I think I need to get my finger out. To tell the truth - I would be really impressed with myself if I made £400 in a year, and I'm sure that I could do that quite easily if I just got on with it. Can I just ask what MBing is??!!
Also - well done to everyone else who has made money - I am really impressed with the amounts. Starting to feel motivated...
Mammy to 3 gorgeous children. :)
  • I joined near the start of the challenge, then had my baby so went awol. I have decided to pick up where I left off tommorrow :)

  • Thanks LHB & Sharon87 - I thought it was my responsibility to claim from Royal Mail - the seller offered to send me the proof of postage so thank God I said I would get back to her!

I have just emailed her to ask for a refund but in the mean time if it shows up I will get in touch.

Also out of 15 items ending on Sunday I have 2 with bids!! Only 13 more to go lol:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
  • Well I haven't listed anything on Ebay yet since starting the challenge, but I have listed about 90 items on Amazon, about 50 on Play and today listed about 80 books on Green Metropolis. Not too bad so far  . Have sold quite a few too, the post office is now my 2nd home :rotfl:

I have done some preparation work for my ebay listings - have scanned/photographed/weighed everything ready and worked out what prices to charge (will be selling on BIN mainly) so it's all going ok really. Just have to add the descriptions on turbolister now and then sit back waiting for the money to roll in (I hope!).

I'm so glad I saw this thread last week. I'd been thinking for ages I should get around to shifting all this stuff, so this gave me a much-needed push in the right direction!
Cutting my bills down to size and saving money :j
So far I have reduced my outgoings/increased my savings account balance by: £16.80 a month
Lots more bill-slashing in progress :D

    Hey

Thanks for the words of encouragement. Im getting totally stressed out with ebay at the moment. Everytime i switch on the computer now there are emails from buyers asking where there stuff is. All my stuff is posted either the same day i receive payment or the following day or the monday if payment is received at the weekend.... why cant people wait a few days before querying delivery??? The people that are really impatient are always foreign and when items are not there two days after they pay they are emailing  Im getting to the stage that i just want to scream!!!

I am still listing items as and when i can but just cant seem to find the time between my 2 jobs and trying to do xmas shopping and then when i do manage to transfer money out my paypal account into my bank it gets swallowed up by postage, fees and bills.... maybe one day i will be able to get the money into my account and use it to pay some extra towards my debts

Good luck with all the auctions and hope there are lots of bidders out there
