  • Hi
I'm a MSE newbie but ebay old-hander and just about to total my ebay sales last year.....think it was close to £3,000 but that was with a friend too......

For 2010 I have to de-clutter the house as it is overhwelming us and 2 rooms are totally out of use due to our junk....am back to work after a year's maternity leave and childcare for twins is extortionate so all in all I am looking at doing the following and would love to have some support:

    1. List 50 items per week.
    2. Income £300 per month
    3. Spend allowed on e-bay = £50 per month

Heck, can't see me hitting that.....my biggest downfall is buying on e-bay and I struggle to resist buying things for my babies.

    Anyone with me?

    Sal
Debt = £2,987 Coop Members CC (until 01/09/10)
    £approx 6,000 Halifax (until?)
Ebay challenge - 50 items per week.
    Looking at all other challenges!

Ok so good news is that a BIN sold within 30 minutes of listing. The bad news is that it is to Poland, despite stating UK only. Have cancelled the sale but having looked at my relisting it says that it will only be viewable on ebay.co.uk - does that include the European countries?

Secondly, I normally post anywhere in the world and I understand about setting these on my account but what if I only had one listing, for example this one, where I will not post ourside of the UK. Can you set the system for that one only?

Am trying to fix a laptop for my childminder at the mo (yes I know, very funny, given my lack of technical awareness) so listing on hold but have 1 bid and several watchers on other items so very pleased.

Will prepare lots more later to start on Sunday rather than tonight as I won't be sober and I have enough problems with my listings without adding to them :rotfl:

Am going to launch the new thread at 6pm....

Floxxie, you can't cancel a sale, do you mean you've offered the buyer a mutal cancellation? If so you do know they can refuse and you'd get to pay your FVFs still.

Set your seller preferences to exclude bidders from countries you do not ship to and then make sure you close all international shipping and payment options except in the UK. Many people set their preferences but forget that ebay picks up your last lot of auction templates by default, so you probably had international shipping still ticked in one of the two places., Whilst you are setting your preferences for that block people with 2 or more strikes as well as that can weed out a few troublemakers, and we can all do without those.

  • giving the listing a rest for today, got a sore throat and shivers:mad:

at the minute there is 53 listed with 69 watchers:D:D which I am amazed at.

I like the makes us money in 2010 title. personally I am aiming for £1200 in 2010,£100 a month.

Would like to make a small business but its knowing what to sell, I hae sold such a range of things its hard to pinpoint one kind of thing so may have to look into doing an allsorts business
