rictus... hmmm well ashamed to say the debt is the result of many years of reckless living... omg i cant even say on here ... ok i will ... but so embarrassing... we have had too many luxury cars, too many v v exp holidays.. such as 14k on a holiday [too embarrassing] we would buy whatever we wished cos we were both earning about 200k per annum combined... and then it started to go wrong, but we were in denial for a long time... started living off credit and there is your credit spiral! never again.

Wow! Thanks for being honest but where did you go on holiday? You could go away for a year with that! Lol just wondering how people got on the slipery slope. I just though if you are 150k in debt shouldnt you go bankrupt....but if you earn more than that im sure you can work it out.

ummm well rictus for the full story you would have to see my debtfree diary... as its not just 150k debt... however, that aside... we regulary spanked out 10 - 14k on 6 star dubai holidays! easy to do... not so easy to pay for!

  • Wow I didn't even know 6 star holidays existed!

I have boxes of stuff to e bay, and as I find Mrscmr so inspiring I wondered if you'd mind if I joined in? I am starting small, listing one thing a day at least in 2010 - peanuts I know but I not hugely keen on e bay!!

    Happy 2010 everyone,

    Buffy xx
    Nevertheless she persisted.

just wait until you see the money rolling in!!:rotfl:, you'll be scouring the house and if its not screwed down you'll contemplate selling it on ebay! try turbo lister its not so tedious as listing seperately and everything is starting and ending at the one time which saves you running to the post office everyday which can put you off especially if you work fulltime, if you use buy it now make it "pay immediatley with paypal" that way its done and dusted

  • Evening ladies (and gents) Just found this thread and would like to join. Trying to get my house in order! Have ebayed stuff before but do get very lazy. Sold 5 games before xmas but still not been paid for one, have emailed buyer but had no reply, would you mark item as payment not received now or email again and give them till next week?
I'm going to go for list 5 items per week rather than day, if I list more then that's a bonus. I've got soo much stuff and I always give toys etc to schools, clothes to people I know with younger kiddies and books to charity shops. Now going to put all on ebay, maybe green metropolis for books need to have a look at it first. Someone mentioned magazines, do they sell well?
Let you know how I get on.

Need to sort my life out! :T
