welcome taffy... regarding mags... yes i have had great success the only down side is if you dont list them carefully you cant charge p and p on them.

so for example i list lots of cross stitch mag... and found that if i look up under crafts, cross stitch and then magazines... i can list and add on p and p.. where as if i list just under books and mags.. then I cant...

be creative in ur listing and look up other similar mags!

    good luck!

  • 171 listed now, have sold a book today (only a Mr Men book but every bit helps).

Kids have gone away to my parents now (we took them there today - 2 hour drive there and 2 hours back), that is why I didn't get too much listed today. Tomorrow is sorting out day so should find lots of books, old clothes and other odds and sods to get listed tomorrow. Am still looking out for a free listing day, am just going to list what I can get listed and if they do have one I'll find other stuff to put on.

Am rather tired tonight so am going to sneak upstairs in a mo and have a lie down for half an hour before OH wants to go to bed. DD3 is still awake as she slept in the car which is a pain as she's been up until 11pm (was up til 1am the other night I was not very happy as I like my evenings to myself).

Evening ladies (and gents) Just found this thread and would like to join. Trying to get my house in order! Have ebayed stuff before but do get very lazy. Sold 5 games before xmas but still not been paid for one, have emailed buyer but had no reply, would you mark item as payment not received now or email again and give them till next week?

Definately file that Non-paying Bidder dispute if its been more than 10 days since the sale. Any more than 10 days without a word is just rude. If they do still want it, then it will just be a reminder to them

You can open an NPB on day 4 now, which seems a tad harsh but I suppose if someone wants something they should jolly well pay for it in the first few days.

Don't forget to all set your seller preferences to exclude bidders with 2 or more NPB strikes, it is an effective way to get these non paying clowns to ban themselves from ebay.

Really, I didn't know that Soolin. Is that a very recent change? I suppose its not a bad thing really. I always pay quickly. What if someone is sending a cheque or PO though?

  • Well after 2 evenings hard work I now have 91 listings - some with watchers already but no bids yet. All low priced 99p items at the moment - but if they all sell then great. Trying to save higher priced things for a free listing day (hopefully soon).

Does anyone have any ideas on listing Family History magazines - NOT under magazines - have listed one under Homes and Gardens and then 'other' but not sure if that will attract anyone to it

    Thanks everyone

You could try listing then in the paper and ephemera category domino. There used to be lots of genealogy related items there. Not checked recently but worth a look

The category is Collectables and there are others there (just checked)
