wow mrscmr that is some going well done.
hope your PO is not like us, while they are quite nice most of the time but more often than not there is only one serving and you get loads of tuts and sighs behind you from the crowd that is growing.
Anyway 7 new and 4 relists for me today0 -

What have you been selling? I have absolutely run out of things! Is this your job or do you work too and final Q, do you pay tax on it all?
Amazing success!0 -
coldstreamalways, I think mrscmr has been selling the stuff she has bought over the years and if that is the case then she does not need to pay tax on the money made as it belongs to her.
mrscmr, I shall never again complain of my 20 item saga :rotfl:
Going to list 50 items on Amazon tonight and maybe even tomorrow night as well as I really would like to see part of my bedroom floor before the year endMortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -
Well done mrscmr, I hate the packing too, had 10 to do this morning but only managed 7 as OH leaves for work at 1.15 and the PO shuts for lunch from 12-1.
Does anyone sell books and magazines still? If so, how much do you start at now that you have to offer free postage and is it worth bothering or should I just take to the charity shop?Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
I wasn't suggesting tax dodging was going on! Thanks Floxxie, I'm just looking for inspiration as OH keeps saying "can we actually have anything of our own?"
Yes dear, a large debt!0 -
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: mrscmr does much dodgier things than tax avoidance ...ask her about used shoes
tmd, I considered going through the wanted section on eBay to see if any of my books/magazines are wanted items in which case I shall list them in the hope of a sale. Otherwise I'm trying Amazon, GreenMet and may even prepare some listings for eBay on their next free listing day (if I have time).
I did sell one magazine from the free listing day, starting at £2.99 but the postage costs £1.85 so not worth me listing unless it is free.Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -
Thanks Floxxie. That is what I thought about the books, I sold an imaginetics playset for 2.99 and postage was 1.85 so hardly worth it really although I suppose even 10p profit is 10p more than I had before.
Most of my books that I've got, on Amazon they are up for 1p so not worth the bother either.
Really must get my finger out and get as much onto Turbolister as possible in the next few days. I might leave the books and comics until the next free listing day too, wonder when it will be? I know they do one late December/early January for people to get rid of unwanted Xmas presents.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
ladies... soo many questions...
firstly i have been a v v greedy needy girl over the years! have been selling stuff that i have had, stuff given to me by friends/relatives - i realise that when i turn this into a proper business next year [cant wait] that it will be taxable etc as it will be an income stream for me.
as for tax right now - spoke to nice old tax man - who explains if its your own stuff then its ok. but when i start a proper ebay shop then its an income hence taxable.
i will be setting up an ebay shop and off to the nec in feb to the spring fair to meet wholesalers!
yesterday was bizzare day ... sold a broken ds lite for 27 pounds [duh? why?] sold a couple of out of print books, plenty of books given to me by my mum [mills and boons] xstitch mags by the bucket load dating back to 2001 in mint condition and so on. nothing in house is safe and i have a whole dark room of goodies left to go on. sold table cloths for 20 pounds plus each, just all sorts really.
im listing my books at 1.30 and magz at 99p - if you list xstitch mags and instead of listing in books look under crafts, xstitch, and then publications you can put p and p on them. i found this out by looking at other listings. being creative is the key! could be same with other subject mags?
remember that my debt is massive - the size of a small country - hence i clearly wasted the money on stuff... hence lots to sell !
@jaynemaria... i am so lucky the post office ladies are dear people and allow me to take a bundle of packages and leave money and then they process them during the day, i go back the next day for proof of postage etc! no huffing for me!
have good evening all xxHighest Debt £581,000 Nov 08 and now owe nothing! yes really! I have learnt my lesson the hard way!

Crikey mrscmr - I felt p'ed off last night when I had to wrap 9! got another 6 or 7 to wrap tonight and I don't feel like it. I actually quite like doing the wrapping but only when I have a flat surface to do it on and mother has junk all over the dining room table so I have no where but the floor
Posted £37.41 worth today, some of the 9 items were mums so there were some decent sales, just not all mineNot been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550
