  • No Ebaying for me today as I've been out for the evening meeting an old friend I used to work with, first night I've had out for months.

  • Hi Floxxie

Had a great evening thanks, was nice to go out and eat a meal without having kids messing about and wanting to go to the toilet every 5 minutes (seems to be a novelty using public toilets).

Really need to get stuff ready for tonight but have to get DD's 2 and 3 ready to pick DD1 up from school (DD2 is off sick). Will try and get some done when I get back while they watch Horrid Henry at 4pm and I do the dinner.

    Happy listing!!!!

Finished work early today so am spending all afternoon listing as well. Done 7 so far.

    happy listing all...
  • Got the cardigan back today from the person who said it was 'badly bobbed'. First I cannot find anything wrong with it, it looks in perfect condition to me, cannot see where it is 'badly bobbled. It also smells like it's been washed in a different washing powder to what I use. I wonder whether they have worn it, washed it and are saying it is no good to get their money back, it does have bobbles all over and I thought it would be uncomfortable to wear which is why I sold it so maybe they thought that too but why not be honest and say.

Strange, they had it for 10 days before e-mailing to say they weren't happy.

I've posted 2 today and relisted 3 from a possible 11. Hmm. Have many more to list, but think that will have to be in a few days time as I'm very busy, even though I'm determined to get them done as there will be many Christmas present buyers looking on Ebay, I'm sure. (And I need the space back in my room!)

    Good, but not good enough.

  • got quite a few listed ,some biggies, that im ashamed to say were bought as Christmas presents for our son, but realised that we shouldnt really have slashed out that much and after much debate,we have decided to sell some of them (mainly as we have just had to fork out £300 to repair all our fencing because of storm damage).

He didnt know he was having them as they were just impulse buys on our part and even if he knew he would say sell them mum I dont need them, but why do I feel so guilty:confused:

Any way I have a question for those that have listed near Christmas before, when In December do you notice that sales start to drop off and do you have a date that you wouldnt have items finishing after?

Hi jaynemaria, I'm very impressed that you've realised that you have bought too much stuff - my dawning moment tends to happen on Xmas day when the house is covered in paper and most of the toys are neglected on the stairs. Now that gets me down especially when I have to put the items on eBay 10 months later and they haven't been played with. So don't feel guilty!!

As for the cut off date for selling - I use RM last postal dates as a guide as to when I stop selling for possible Xmas pressies but I continue with other items all through the year. I also continue selling items that are collect only for those last minute gifts.

  • I have to go through what I've bought for my girls and sell a few things too there is just too much stuff, I could buy and buy and buy things for them.

Haven't got anything listed today yet, just can't get motivated, DD2 has been off sick from school all week she was going to go back today but she was coughing in the night and didn't get up until 8.20am and we had no bread to make her a packed lunch and she doesn't like school dinners as she is only 4 and is a bit shy, so I just left her and let her stay off, but she has to go back tomorrow I need to get on and sort stuff out.

Anyone doing the Sealed Pot Challenge? When are you opening your pots? I will probably do mine on Saturday or Sunday evening, am so excited to see how much I have in there.
