  • well this month I have managed 17 new listings and 63 re lists.

NOt really very good, trouble is I tend to lose my motivation when my things arent getting bids, (greedy thing I know!!!!).

On top of this DS was really ill with swine flu, and I'm exhausted now. Still onwards and upwards.

Maybe we should form a virtual circle and give each other a good kick up the bum to get going

  • Just a little moan here.

What protection do sellers get when things go missing?

I sent a parcel psp and games worth £77 to France back in July, signed for and insured.the person who bought it know they would be on holiday when it was due to be delivered. French PO made three attempted deliveries, but then it went missing without trace.

Anyway, the buyer didnt let me know till it was too late for paypl to be involved, I filed a claim with Royal mail and they sent the cheque this week for compensation. All well and good, but its the seller that ends up out of pocket,
I sold this for my 13 yearold son, so obviously I have given him the money, so am now £77 out of pocket, just seems so unfair doesnt it.

    I don't understand?

You sent a package worth £77, buyer never got it but you got your refund from RM. So why are you out of pocket..the money you have hopefully refunded to buyer is surely covered from the refund?

Sorry Soolin, never made it clear,

i meant the fact that the item is missing, means that I have refunded the buyer£77 , but my son has lost his psp and games in the realms of the lost postal service, so I had to give him the money as I was selling it for him.

I'm still a bit confused though as you have returned the buyers money but have the RM compensation in its place so you are in exactly the same position?

You accepted £77 from buyer so that was money in hand, you then returned £77 to buyer so you were in a neutral position, you then got £77 comensation from RM which puts you with no PSP but with £77?

I'm finding it soooo slow, blimey not selling much at all and anything that is selling is going for the minimum, keep relisting most of it and that is with 99p starts, getting quite fed up to be honest.

Glad you are doing well. I got my first Neg too which p'd me off so have lost my enthusiasm a bit.

I had a cracking night last night, unfortunately most of it was stuff from my boys so I'll have to give them all the money :rotfl: In fact I've had a couple of buyers email me to ask if I am listing more similar items as they are very interested, so I sat up late and listed more.

The boys will be rolling in it soon and all for stuff they no longer want. I also have still not tackled the big dark cupboard....
