sal: re the postage thing... personally although u would prob get away with it if its a big co - i wouldnt do it. firstly getting a job at the mo is big challenge and keeping it is another challenge. so i would steer clear!Highest Debt £581,000 Nov 08 and now owe nothing! yes really! I have learnt my lesson the hard way!

Ah - thanks you two.
I am always interested in other people's opinion on things like this. I was only asking it as a 'moral dilemma' question, rather than a 'should I do it or not' question
I actually have a deal with the postboys at work. I put my own postage on the parcels but they kindly post them for me, saving me hours of queuing time at the post office. It does make a huge difference to me as my time during a normal working day when I could get to the PO is limited and I'd hate to have to spend all my Saturday in there. Maybe some others who work for a big company might ask if they could do the same thing - they can only say no.
Oh and one other question, as I've just come back to ebay. How long is the free listing thing going on for? It used to be they would do a free listing day every now and then. It's now been about a week but I can't find it mentioned anywhere.
Thanks

Just got my first neutral - from a european buyer.. She asked me to put her item in a box to send it - I wrapped it in bubble wrap, put inside a cereal box, packed it out with bubble wrap, and then put it in a bubble envelope. Her feedback said there was no box, just a bubble envelope and the item ( a bnib character doll) was crushed. She also gave exactly the same feedback to another seller.
I have just left a reply to her feedback, but am irritated.
All for 99p before fees!
All the other buyers (who did just have bubble envelopes were delighted and left 5* feedback)
Winge over....
Hope everyone else is having better luck..0 -
Hello all can i join in?! I've just recently started ebaying again, i had left as i was fed up with parcels not being rec'd by buyers so i now send everything recorded delivery!
I've been reading through this thread and it's motivated me so i've listed 3 things this morning although i know Friday isn't a great day to list may do some this evening.
I do my ebaying to put any money towards my debt, although i do sometimes buy a sneaky top or pair of jeans tut!Winging life....0 -

Hi I used to do ebay to, done ok , not huge profit, I to was fed up with buyers saying not recieved the item, also paypal. But if I am gonna clear 23 k of secret debt, I am gonna get my a** in gear and do it. I am gonna scour the house , carboot , charity shops, everywhere. Just started today and listed 4 quality items. Do you think it is realistic to clear my debt in two years through ebay, love to know your thoughts, and if you guys make much. Thanks.:rotfl:0
