Can anyone help me please? I've just tried to list a Sanctuary Gift set.. The heading I put was the same as on the tag ie Sanctuary Spa Perfect Skin Facial Starter Set.... but eBay wouldn't let me list it because:

Its not Guerlain or Givenchy etc etc so why can't I list it? Someone else has got the same set listed.

But I assume you are not French so it doesn't really make senseNot been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550 -
You are correct in your assumption about me not being in France or indeed being French! lol
I thought it was very odd.... Mind you when I listed some Nine West shoes I got a warning message about it being illegal to sell firearms.... ebay however allowed me to list the shoes!
I guess I'm just lucky eh?
I'll try a fresh listing another time and see if it happens again and if it does I'll try and find out from eBay why I'm getting the French MessageLight Bulb Moment 4th January 2009 :eek:Started DMP 1st April 2009 :ADMP mutual support thread member: 267 :j0 -
Oh I just remembered I tried to list a Gucci carrier bag and envelope which a bag I bought was packed in (pre dmp and no credit card days obviously) and I had that removed. Oh and they removed a couple of Links of London boxes and bags but they did that after I had sold them!Light Bulb Moment 4th January 2009 :eek:Started DMP 1st April 2009 :ADMP mutual support thread member: 267 :j0

just 1 hubby!
question though: i have sold something and realised i had put wrong size so contacted winning bidder and said do u still want it? she said no. So i contact 2nd bidder and say do u want it and if u do then i will do it at your bid of £2.20 but how do i finish the sale after it has finished and how to send an invoice to the 2nd person? im confused... help!
Hi mrscmr, just a thought. You should be able to use the option that says the auction/payment wasn't finished and that it's been agreed by both you and the buyer. You should then get your listing fee back (I think, unless things have changed a lot). You can then email the other person privately, and get them to pay their last bid price and you'll be able to sell it without any fees. Sort of.
Just thought I'd suggest it as I think you'll pay two lots of fees if you use the second change offer. Might be worth checking first.
Oh and I only came on here because I was about to go to bed without putting any listings up but then pushed myself to do it. Got 3 up. OK so it's not loads but with just 3 a day I'm getting there. I'll be happier when I get to next week and they start finishing - I have 2 with bids on - they wont' clear my debt in one go but it's a start. I can't wait until I see my listings with a couple of hundred up there. Then I'll start making some decent money from it again and getting closer to where I want to be.
OK, I'm rambling again. I used to be passionate about ebay and know it's possible to supplement an income by a lot of money if it's done properly and well. I'm quite excited about getting back into it - I'm glad this thread is here tooYou lot are great, especially those of you who are at that 100+ auction stage.
OH I have a moral question for you all. If you could post a few of your auctions, here and there, through work without anyone noticing and it not costing you anything (so you could pocket the shipping costs too), would you do it - or would you feel bad about it?
I shall read your answers in the morning with interest

hi everyone, I have only just found this challenge, I think I'm going to try 3 listings a day (currently have 36 on amazon, and 4 on ebay). can I ask what length of time you put on ebay listings - I always use 10 days, but does that put people off having to wait for it to end? thanks:money:0

I definitely wouldn't as it could be deemed as theft from the company and possibly result in instant dismisaal. I need my job and salary more than I need the extra few quid it would save me. Also try explaining to any potential employer why you were fired from your job. No, definitely not worth it in my book but that's just my opinion.Light Bulb Moment 4th January 2009 :eek:Started DMP 1st April 2009 :ADMP mutual support thread member: 267 :j0 -
