oh i am soooo dumb ... i have learnt a valuable lesson this morning. sold something for a very low price considering what they were buying, clearly put on desc that collection but i might deliver for small charge. buyer live reasonable far so i agree deliver for charge. today off i pop with item, buyer not there so i rang, no answer, kind lady next door took in the item, then buyer rang me on the way home, i say i came, i left item with neighbour, blah blah. now i can tell u what will happen. he will go home, get item frm neighbour, say its damaged, leave neg feedbackand want a refund. i depressed. i must remember that the seller is in charge and not the buyer.

Hi guys...I'd like to start clearing some junk again. I have a lot of novels that I could sell but they are not worth much...do people make much out of these from ebay? I buy them second hand at car boots etc anyway.

Not sure about books on Ebay. I know a lot of people use Green Metropolis for books, or Amazon, but I've never sold any myself. If they're not worth a great deal then a job lot on Ebay might be better as at least people would benefit from parcel rate postage so might be more interested in bidding. Otherwise Freecycle if you're not bothered about getting anything for them!

I just listed 2 items - 1 was a buggy board I bought off Ebay the other day but doesn't fit my pushchair (nyeh), the other some school shirts that M&S sent with my order by mistake (girly ones - not much use for my boys!). A little start, but a start all the same.

I feel so poorly. Got a stinking cold and feel like I haven't slept for weeks. It's taking me so long to do one thing!

pandapaws : hello! good to see that you are back to listing.

mrscmr: never accept Paypal when you are going to either have the item collected or you are going to deliver it as the buyer could claim non-receipt and you would lose. I tend to put at the bottom of such listings that if a buyer wishes to pay by Paypal then a courier will have to be used to satisfy Paypal's tracking requirements. Fingers crossed it will be fine this time. (I took £430 by Paypal and delivered the item once. Could not rest until the buyer left positive feedback and he took weeks!)

cc: despite me being on a budget managing exercise I seem to be spending more on the credit card than we bring in. I am seriously getting worried that my money making schemes are not working. Good reason to get eBaying NOW! ;)

Will pop back soon to see how well you are all doing.
