OH MY GOD i'm in shock! I have just sold a top that I picked up for 40p at a charity shops for... wait for it... £13! I REALLY DO NOT think it is worth that (just a plain little top) so dunno what to do... I started it off at 1p and it had 21 watchers in the end. Insane!
mrscmr - I just use a really basic spreadsheet, nothing fancy. I work out the overall profit minus p&p and fees and put it in the spreadsheet
So far I have listed two items tonight. Really can't be bothered... think I might list some to end on Monday for a change.0 -
Well done CL! You clearly have an excellent eye for a bargain. As to what to do, send the item and enjoy the money.
I'm going through the same thing with several of my items. Think sleepless' idea of people buying is correct. Will be much happier when left positive feedback and my bank has the funds in it.
In the meantime I have so many items to pack or work out postage on. I don't know if I am coming or going and it has meant I haven't had time to list anything. Have got big plans to list on Thursday assuming I can get my new camera to work that is.
mrscmr, I can see what I have 'made' in the last 30 days. In my other account the reports have graphs on; no idea why they are different - probably something I signed up to years ago!Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -
Yesterday was more of a struggle than i realised, i was tired out and emotionally drained, i only actually managed to get three new listings done taking my total to 61, i have picked up a a few watchers, questions and a bid already, so i'm hopeful and hope to get some more listed tonight. I actually can't wait to start the packing and taking to the post office, i find it far easier than listing and it'll be a postive move towards getting ********* (insert some very bad words here) out of my life and moving on!
gingababe 72 books is fab well done you!
mrscmr don't go listing your mills and boons at all i might end up bidding my profits away, just be careful if you list in 3's the postage is capped on books
I did have a basic spreadsheet to track my monthly sales but have found i prefer to do it in a book it's far more satisfying (plus it gets me away from the computer and adding the sums up with a calcuator makes the money seem more realistic than looking at a total on the computer)
I have a columns for items sold, pp fee, list fee, fv fee, cost (if anything) postage, then total expenses, sale price, item profit, monthly sales total and yearly total
The monthly total means i can compare progress easily and the yearly total is to try and motviate me
purpleroses 11/14 items is a great result
completlylost £13 for one top is excellent, i've sold a couple of new things with tags and struggled to get a fiver despite a £30 tag being attached
Floxxie thursday will be a great day to list for 10 days and still pick up the end of the month buyers so make sure you find time to get the new camera sorted

Hello everyone I’ve just seen this thread.
I am exactly the same – I will have a mad spurt where I will stick loads of stuff on Ebay and then when it comes to it all ending it takes me ages to get it all packaged up ready for posting. I think the man in the Post Office dreads me walking in as he knows what is usually coming!
I am going to try and list at least one thing a day, I’d love the be able to commit to doing more than that but at the moment due to other stuff going on that could prove difficult especially as I work full time. If I can list more than one I will do – anything that gets rid of my clutter will be a help.
I decided over the weekend I really want to buy a newer car so my new target for any money I manage to make will go towards that along with any money I manage to save.
I listed 13 items yesterday so have got off to a bit of a start.One day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170 -

Hi mrscmr,
all sorts of books, mills & boons, novels you name it, I have just sorted some magazine out to put on !! Just weigh them all as ebay only allow £2.75 for postage on books. I start it all at 99p & see what happens then adjust next time if I need to, sold 7 books last night just waiting for payment.!! I should also say that I prefer to list my books separately, but I do check to see how much they are worth on www.bookfinder.com & if they are worth something (depending on the book) I list them on Amazon, I sold a book on amazon last nite for £9.50 after I was given it .
Hope that all makes sense.
Ginga0
