would recommend trying to get the insurance through one of the cashback sites such as https://www.greasypalm.co.uk & https://www.quidco.co.uk for even gretaer savings as their cashback for insurance is usually quite generous.0

Try these - they were the best for me

F: 028 9066 6932I used to have a signature with links to the League Tables for good/bad shipping charges for Northern Ireland. But I have since learnt that this is against site rules - so they are no longer here! PM me if you need them0 -
I sorted mine out through elephant.co.uk and was very pleased with it. Saved me about £50 on my renewal quote, had the policy documents emailed through by the company within about 48 hours0

As there is an older thread relating to home and contents prices, I'll add this new thread to it.0

I got a quote from the Post Office who are offering £50 cashback. Go thro Quidco and you also get cashback!

I can highly recommend Ryan Hay from Independant Mortgages & Loans in Bangor. He arranged my re-mortgage in a very short space of time, as well as giving a raft of options and ideas that suited my needs. He was a joy to deal with and listened to my needs, as well as returned immediately any calls made when I wasn't able to get him first time. He also specialises in buildings and contents insurance as well, and his rates were the best i have had after doing the whole internet / broker search as well. Give him a go - you won't regtret it! e-mail him at ryan@iml-ni.com.

i'm sure i saw this on the forum before but ....
time to renew house and contents insurance. direct line has sent a renewal for almost £400. when i ask for a new quote online it comes to about £187.
on the phone they've said that they don't bargain.
has anyone just canceled the old policy and started up a new one with the same company? I feel like i'm missing something here. would this effect the future by not being able to say you had one continuous policy for x years or no claims or something?
Why do i feel something is fishy in denmark?0 -
I've always used Abbey, as they have always been cheaper for me. I've got buildings and contents cover with accidental damage for ~£180 - £190.
Buildings up to £180k and contents to £30kCheers,
