There are others on there offering £120 eg. Barclays and Lloyds but as far as I know they don't insure over here.
I just setup buildings insurance yesterday through Lloyds (via Quidco), was no problems so they do insure houses over here. £120 quidco tracked within a couple of hours aswellWhy do companies offer you "free gifts?"
Since when has a gift NOT been free?0 -

It may be worth considering getting contents and buildings separately and going through QUIDCO. I know that normally you get a "discount" from buying buildings and contents together but one or other of the covers can be so weighted that you're not making a real saving. Right now Barclays and Lloyds are offering £125 and £120 respectively as Quidco cashback and this applies if you just buy either contents or buildings, so you could get £245 back in total. I've done this myself and there was no problem. Just look for which combination works best for you, i.e. contents from Lloyds and buildings from Barclays or vice-versa.0

Hello,
Anyone had "Household Contents Insurance" only quotes recently.
I am with Abbey and my insurance is up in mid-April so they have sent out a reminder. Last year my insurance was £80, now I'm quoted £170!
I have not contacted Abbey yet.
Thanks.0 -
Its insurance renewal time again - just got my renewal notice.
£440 for 5 bed detatched buildings and contents
Does this seem like the going rate.
It was about this last year and I reckoned it was terrible but I was not able to get any better.
Anyone know of companies I should try to improve on this deal.I used to have a signature with links to the League Tables for good/bad shipping charges for Northern Ireland. But I have since learnt that this is against site rules - so they are no longer here! PM me if you need them0 -

We're detached four bed in central belfast and came in at £236.50 for buildings and contents together through open and direct. We got a number of different quotes in and around this price range but open and direct worked hard to better the lowest quote. My only minor quibble is that they don't work on email But otherwise very good.0
