I havent seen the interview either, however I would like to say that this site is amazing, the people, the advice and most of all the community that it has made who - like myself - have saved so much and become more knowledgeable in our everyday finances. Thank you so much. Channel 4 tends to scape the barrel quite often. Long live MSE!!!!!

Like most others here, I support you Martin. You do a great job and was only singing your praises to some friends last night.

  • I'm very happy to be debt free and to have a little money squirrelled away in the current circumstances, and it's the advice on this site that has helped me achieve this. Before I came here I was overwhelmed by all the information in different places; I knew I had to take control of my finances but I didn't know where to start. MSE brought all the relevant information together and gave easily understood, useful advice. But any decisions were mine - I had to check that each product was suitable for my circumstances, I had to decide whether the balance between security and interest rates was one I was comfortable with, I had to check the small print before I committed to anything. Me having a bit of a worry over my Kaupthing account wasn't Martins fault, I was the one who made the decision to save with that bank! I'm grateful to Martin for helping me get my finances sorted, I certainly don't hold him responsible for anything that's happening, and I hope he continues to give us his advice. Keep up the good work Martin!

I don't post all that regularly but just wanted to add my support for Martin :T This is a great site, - I've recommended it many times.

I haven't seen the interview, but tbh I have lost patience with tv these days.. I'm sure our money saving expert can handle whatever's thrown at him anyway :D

Jon Snow was attacking Martin as if it was his fault. Martin gives us the facts and we decide what we do and anyone with any sense would do the same. Keep up the good work Martin and the MSE team.
  • Whatever happened to the old Broadcasting Standards Commission? Or did they all resign because it was all cr*p?

  • I've just watched the interview and can't see what all the fuss is about.

Martin was clearly more knowledgeable than Jon Snow and more articulate in his responses.
