Thnks Martin, without this forum I'd be scuppered.
Not just money-saving, recipes and home-heating.
But for the friendship, and conversations and smiles from loads of people I'd never have without you.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.
If you need any help on these boards, please let me know.

I'm better off, more informed, and also forewarned thanks to this site.
Great work Martin.0 -
I want to say THANK YOU to Martin too, I've learned so much in the last couple of years and would be a darn sight worse off without this site and all the helpful community on here.
How low can channel 4 go? I never had much of an opinion of it, and have even less now. They're the pits.

I just want to add my support for Martin. Without him and this site I really don't know where I would be.
Martin and this site has saved my family so much money (car insurance renewal etc, shopping and questioning everything, do I need it?, can I get it cheaper?)
This site also gave me the courage to claim back PPI that I had been mis-sold. It meant that earlier this year I had a my PPI refunded plus interest and had a cheque for just over £3800. Without the information that Martin and the whole MSE team has given I would never have claimed that money back even though I knew that I had been mis-sold the PPI. :j :j :j
I still have a long way to go to clear my debts but I know I can do this and this is down to this site.:T :TDebt Oct 2006 £42,215.21 at highest. Debt Today £0.000 -
Martin has my unreserved support. He and his team have saved me lots of money and his knowledge and information is invaluable.
Thank you Martin0 -
I am in total agreement with the spirit of this thread and want to offer my support to Martin.
Let me qualify this: ALL the money I have in the world, and I mean ALL, my inheritance from my father's death, my savings, all that I was counting on for a fairly comfortable older age are sitting in limbo in the former Kaupthing Edge. I put them there because of reading this forum.
It was MY CHOICE, and at no point will I ever blame Martin, and I want to thank him for giving us all the best information that he has at hand, freely and unreservedly!
Thank you Martin, keep up the good work and don't let the media depress you, they can only function as predators, otherwise nobody would watch tv!
CaterinaFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
I have to add my name to this thread - without MSE, I would not have been able to make the choices with my life that I have done, and have the freedom that I currently do. When my ex threw me out, I could have gone back to my parents and left my friends, my job, my home behind. But I didn't - I decided that I would go it alone, and get a little house on my own...and of all the things I was worrying about during that horrible time, money was NEVER one of them because I knew that MSE was here and whatever questions/problems I had, there would always be an answer.
So THANKYOU MSE, MARTIN LEWIS and everyone else for the support, help and advice you are all so glad to offer. Without it, I would not be nearl as happy and alright as I am now.
Jon Snow can go !!!!!! in the wind - as always, the media are looking for someone to blame. I can only thank heavens that Martin Lewis and MSE are here during the current financial turbulence, and I'm sure many other people feel exactly the same.
I think I will email this thread to Jon Snow, and hopefully we will get him to publicly apologise to Martin. We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
My Partner is not a member of the Cult of Martin (I think he blames him for all the lentils we've been eating :rotfl:) but even he said I should "get my @rse online and tell that Moneysaving bloke that it's not his fault" after watching Jon Snow the other night.
This site has been brilliant for me. I've saved money, electricity, food, the environment ... the world?! But I think it probably is Martin's fault that I've had so many 2 for 1 pizzas. That money talks - I can't deny,
I heard it once - it said 'goodbye'!
