    Where would be the best place to find out more info about buying shares on the stockmarket?

    I'm guessing it's a far more complicated and involved process than could be easily explained here so if anyone could point me to a good internet guide that would be good. Thanks!

    the FTSE 100 is trading at 8.99 p/e and a yield of 5.32

    Based on previous earnings results.........we are in a recession so those numbers won't be repeated any time soon (if at all :eek: )

    They say History repeats itself, ...... but usually it's only the bad bits.....the good bits never seem to repeat.

    By bad bits of history repeating continuously I mean stuff like.....Wombat starting a thread everytime Gold goes up 25 cents, Trust starting a thread everyday where he types in CAPITALS ALL THE TIME, and esbo (under a new assumed identity) starting threads everyday where he can moan about something !!! ;)

    I feel I have lost out on making a large amount of money.
    A spread bet on monday that the FTSE 100 would be going down at £15 a point wouldhave made me a fair amount of dosh :(
    I will be looking carefully at what stock does today and monday..
