The only DORK is Mr.Tesco. Who else would be fool enough to run a business filling the like of us up with freebies ranging from cheese to computers and causing their customer services such hassle aswell. He is an absolute prat.

Dont know what R R stands for exactly but know what it means. You take your mispriced goods together with receipt to Customer service and ask them for a refund for those overcharged goods. You get the refund and keep the goods too!!! So in effect they have cost you nothing.

Maybe it stands for 'Receipt and Refund' then. Can anyone clarify?

This is the page that states the refund and retain on Tescos Customer Service page.
Might help someone when they get an overcharge.

I note this week that Tesco Extra Seacroft Leeds is so sure that it is going to overcharge you on its cds that it has ( very tackily ) tippex-ed out the price of EVERY cd on its poster!

It's a bit unbecoming of Britains No1 Supermarket that they have such little confidence in their computer systems that individual stores are driven to vandalising their promotional material to prevent their customers getting the prices they purport to offer.

Stevenage store have used a big fat marker pen to black out the price on the posters!! Aren't they naughty?! :rotfl:

  • Been to Mr t's tonight and noticed new posters for the CD section all seemed to be priced correctly though, also checked the fresh meat and no mistakes!!! have they learned a lesson here? Mind you i did notice that all the SEL'S appeared to be new is it possible that a full scan of the store happens on a Monday morning? anyone any idea's?
  • no problems with the exchange - my worries were not founded - the new receipt just say exchange - no note of the R+R so in theory i could take it back tomorrow saying it doesnt work and get £140 but im not going to - its listed on ebay! (not going to take the !!!!!!)

Good ? , Which day is the best to go to the meat counter as all seem to be corrected now. When is the next price change on the big ones, e.g sat nav and electricals.?? We need to blitz Mr. T on the morning of the pricing change. Maybe theres some inside knowledge forthcoming on this from someone.
I have friends who are farmers and they've been driven out of business by the supermarkets. It never ceases to amaze me why T cant dop his scan price to the lower one on the shelf. But no, he chooses to rip us off even more by erasing the SELS.
