Ok they are still breaking the law when it comes to overpricing but if their R&R policy generates so much overprice scruitiny from the general public that their public image is damaged then they will think that theres no point in them having it!
I know Tesco have this policy to help stop them getting in trouble with TS but think, Sainsbury Safeway Coop etc dont have so many people complaing about overcharges because they dont have so much focus on their prices.
Whilst I agree that there is a chance that this might happen, just imagine the media coverage if they actually did pull the policy because it was highlighted in this way. The tabloids could have a field day and this would simply start to lead the way towards a backlash that I firmly beleive is going to happen sooner or later.
What stores like Tesco need to keep in mind is that consumer power is mighty and just as we have put them in the strong trading position they have now, so we can make them a tin-pot operation once more.0 -

And if you break anything at the checkout (even after you have paid for it) Tesco will replace it for you (i.e. bottle of wine)!!0

I don't have the courage to bargain hunt to the extreme of some of you experts lol, but I never seem to find anything anyway!
Is there anyone who reads this thread an Inverness shopper? I don't know if the main Inverness Extra branch is just so sharp that it never has any misprices .......or I'm just not good at finding them!Herman - MP for all!0 -
At 111 pages long, might we not consider starting a fresh thread?
My suggestion for a title would be "Tesco misprice policy discussion area III ":D0 -
28 pages for me, but it makes no difference as no-one ever reads back through the thread anyway, otherwise they wouldn't ask:
Where's the misprice list link?
Whats a SEL?
Do I have to buy them first?/How do you know it's mispriced?
On every page...
Maybe we need a FAQ.0 -
