    Major problems

    Football Manager 2006 - SEL £14.97 scanned £26.97

Been shouting for 45 minutes to get it, Stafford refusing the policy.
They found another ticket with it listed at £26.97 which was close to it, but at the end of the day it was SEL at £14.97.

I will ringing tomorrow Head Office. Service was appauling, waited 15 minutes for the manager, he was getting angry, threatened security even though I was calm, non abusive, non threatening and Im DEFINETLY going back in tomorrow for the Live 8 DVD cos its payback time BIG TIME!

Oh im fuming - wish Head Office was open now cos they would bear the brunt of it all.

Yes yes yes oh yes, oh yes, come on ... I AM SO PLEASED ITS UNREAL!

Been pestering Head Office the past few days, each day they have said they have not been able to help, only the original person dealing with it can help.

Spoke to a young gentleman earlier, who helped. Adviced that I was right and should go into the store and if there was a problem get them to ring HO. (He also stated he hates it when Store managers do this).

So, with renewed confidence I walked into the store and went to the CS desk. Explained the situation and called the duty manager, not the same guy who I spoke to before but he was around at the time. Immediately told CS to R&R. I asked why the original Duty manager hadnt done this. He explained and apologised that he thought the original manager had dealt with this poorly, apologised that I had felt threatened and that I was threatened with security, advised me that he had followed us because he thought the situation was getting out of hand and even admitted to going home after the shift last time and checking the Tesco website for the policies - where he could instantly see I was correct in the policy. He said with a smile that I could have bought 10 of the games and still been within policy with a slight smile in his eye (You know what I mean!).

Customer service has been appauling throughout. Angela at HO has not helped at all, Ive been threatened and had a duty manager be aggressive towards me and had to make many phone calls. However, the new duty manager and Ryan at HO were fantastic. It must entirely depend on who you get.

£53 back in my pocket, and 2 PC games.

Glad to see it happily resolved. Sorry you had to go through all that unnecessary stress first! It pays to stand your ground!

    So did you get one?

    Nope

I took it to the till to buy and for get my card if it came up at the SEL which it did. I then noticed the box was marked up at £398 anyway so they wernt really on offer.

I may try another store near where I a m working tomorrow

Looks like I need to avoid Stockport for a while

    QUOTE]

a bit like me an nanna c....she argued over the coffee last week, I had got something the week before so was "marked"..we then went outside and the car would not start.

As I am waiting for the new RAC deal thing to start I have no cover...so best smile on and asked if they would call RAC for me

we also need to avoid Stockport

An adendum to this is that we found out that Tesco's are covered by RAC and they rang on our behalf and within 20 mins a very very nice man had us mobile again. :T So congrats to Tescos for this service :T . However when we got home OH brought me back down to earth by saying that they probably did it to make sure I left the area.
  • Tesco do have a bulk purchase policy so you may not get away with getting loads of the same thing.

True if you break down in Tesco car park you can ask cs to get you RAC for free. Discovered it a while ago when my clutch cable broke!
  • Just got the valentines dinner for two set which is two wine glasses, coasters napkin and candle opened it up and found the glasses are plastic!!!! boy if i'd just paid £4.97 for this tosh I'd be taking it back.... good job i got it free then! :rotfl:
  • Next time you are in tescos check out the value ranges @ £1 each
things like bablington rackets, shuttlecocks, tennis balls & kids toys also car stuff, stationary, household & beauty

they were on isle ends & getting lots of attention- not scanning incorrectly but some good bargins to be had to bulk up your total spend

The Inside I'm Screaming book is still scanning incorrectly at £10.

The cherry misprice has been fixed, though.

I thought that too, but when one of my workers broke down in my van in a Tesco petrol station, they weren't interested. Wouldn't even entertain pushing it, just wanted it off the forecourt.

Then, of course, it was pushed into the carpark, where it was still broken down they just didn't seem to care.
