Have you double checked your account details are correct? Keep asking them and using the help support thing online.0

Hey Lucyr - if it's any consolation I did get the money they owed me eventually. I went onto the on-line support (because I refused to waste even more of my money by phoning them) - it did take me a while to get through on the on-line support, because it kept saying it was only available during working hours (even although I was trying during the day!), and when I did they initially weren't very helpful. I got a bit ratty with them, and basically just said that since they weren't able to offer me anything more than a very half hearted apology, that I was off to voice my problems on a review site I'd found (which actually I couldn't find one) and that I would also write to the metro and my local newspaper - funnily enough they paid me almost immediately!
I actually ended up losing on the books I sold as well, but since I was quite new to the whole thing I suppose I can only blame myself for that. What I didn't realise was that the website charge 15% +90p on every book sold, although again that's probably my fault as I'm sure they have it in the small print somewhere.
I'm still waiting on payment for the last book I sold, but that's because the person I sold it to hasn't updated the site to say she's received it - even although it was sent recorded delivery and the royal mail tracker says it was received ages ago.
Now that you've reminded me, I'm off to have another argument with them to try and get it back!
Good luck with yours, I'm sure you'll get it eventually!0

Well finally after contacting again they have sent an email saying they have paid me. And also deducted the 15% charge and 90p, which they should have made more clear. The website is a big con because after i paid postage, i made 10 pounds when my book is worth alot more. I thought the customer helpline number was rubbish with a really annoying man on the other end who left me on hold ages, so i expect thats cost me more money. I never new selling a book would be so much hassle. Back to the good ole days of face to face selling for my other books i think.0

            hello,
i think this website is !!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have sold 4 books now and its coming up to a month and i have received no payment! i do feel a bit relieved that you guys eventually got paid. But i was just wondering what number do i call?? and i hav emailed them several times, how long after complaining did u get paid?0
-
I'm not sure actually, I think it took about 6 weeks in total. They only make payments on the first and third Monday of the month. I didn't actually receive any response to e-mails until I complained to them via their on-line support!
I didn't ever call them either, I think it's either a low-call or premium rate number, so I refuse to waste any more money on the site.
They are a joke - but I get the impression they're just too small to cope with the business going through them, so they're far too slow at processing anything!
Good luck with getting your money - make sure the people who bought the books from you have actually updated the site to say they've received the book, as they won't pay out until they do - regardless of whether the royal mail tracker says it's been received or not!0

does anyone have any good or bad experiences from buying from this website, as I am considering buying books but from looking from yours posts on selling the book I am now wary.0

I have been having a terrible time dealing with this website. My book - ordered 2 months ago - was never delivered. My card was debited the day after the order was made. I wrote many times using their online help section to ask what was going on, and after a month received a promise of a refund "as soon as possible." It is now 3 weeks since that promise was made, but no refund has been paid. What is more, I am no longer able to access my account on that website and they are not replying to emails.
I am currently drafting a letter demanding a full refund before legal action is taken, and in the process of gathering evidence to inform trading standards. My experience is that I would not touch them with a barge pole the size of the moon. I cannot recommend sellstudentstuff.com at all.0

If you got an e-mail to your e-mail account rather their websites mail, saying "congratulations you have been paid" - You should get the money within 5 working days!
In saying that, this is possibly one of the most dire websites I have come across! I sold and posted a book on approx the 21st of Sep, and still haven't received any money for it. Despite the fact they ask for it to be sent recorded delivery, and the tracker service said it had been delivered, they wait for the recipient to confirm they have it before paying out, which the girl didn't do 'til about 2 weeks ago, and although they say they pay on the first and third Monday of every month, they seem to just be really slow at processing their payments!
in fact, I'm off to complain now whilst it's in my head:money:0

I have just tried to log in to my account to chase up outstanding payment they owe me for one last book, and it is not recognising my details - this happened last week as well but I was in a rush at the time and thought I'd just entered it incorrectly.
Did you get anywhere with them?
I clicked on the "forgotten my password" bit and it says it doesn't recognise my e-mail, even although they have communicated with me to that e-mail address. Plus, if you click on the "contact us" section, it says you have to be a member!
Anyone any suggestions on what I can do? Other than wave goodbye to my money?
