I love the idea on this thread. As I don't have a large family I am making one for all the immediate family members to make them feel cared for, OH will be on his way home on Christmas Eve and his is a welcome home present, plus one for me! The theme is comfy cosy Christmas Eve!

    Contents will be
Fleece blanket (£2.50 from Mr T already got)
    Mugs (one bought for 49p)
    Hot Chocolate
    Marshmallows
HM combination of mice pies, gingerbread men or cookies
    Christmas DVD
Christmas Shower Gel or Bath product from Lush
Either comfy shorts t-shirt pack or pj's or thick wellie socks or fluffy Christmas towel

Buying things on sale now or on offer and am half way there.
Just need a pack of cheap baskets now but plenty of time to find these!

Just thought I'd let you know that Homebase have some lovely square wicker baskets on sale ..... can't remember the exact price, pretty sure it was around £1.49. Available in white, mahogany or a light tan colour.

Unfortunately I couldnt find a link on the homebase website.

I splashed out on some large baskets from Homebase for £4.99 each instead of £9.99 to put the Christmas Eve Hamper collections into. They are nice and large to put the fleece blankets into and hopefully fluffy towels when I find some!

In Home Bargains I bought a set of loungewear for men for £5.99 which I thought was a good price for a nice t-shirt and jersey trousers set.

A few brown flannels to attempt making a reindeer out of when I find the instructions on here somewhere!

Progressing well on the basket preparations - just a few bits left to get closer to the time. Will be stocking up on the hot choccie, marshmallows etc I'm going to attempt a few snowman soups to go in instead of a full tub of each.

  • Bumping this. I know its early but I'm already planning my Xmas eve hampers! (one for us & DS and one for my little sisters)

I thought these were good value and would be fun for kids to do their own door hangers

(sorry for long link, cant work out how to change the name of the link like most of you do)

    For my sisters I'm doing:
    pjs
    slipper socks
    HM christmas cookies
    Christmas dvds
    popcorn
    santa key
    reindeer food
    snowman soup
Elves and the shoemaker CD (http://storynory.com/2007/12/16/the-elves-and-the-shoemaker/)
    colouring books and crayons
    New cups/ mugs

    So excited already!

I'm going to make one for me and DH and our little boy who will only be 1 at Christmas so more for me than him but a fun tradition none the less
