Options
For kids, my little one will only be 16months old but its a bit of fun, im thinking new pjs, reindeer dust, personalised christmas book which i've already bought him, carrots for reindeer, mince pie for santa, letter from santa? Its something i'd like to carry on for when he gets older too, does this sound ok?

    Sounds lovely!
I started a tradition of having stockings after Boxing Day tea. That way, they've had the excitement of Christmas Day, and there is something else to look forward to. My kids are now 18 and 22, and they still insist on having a stocking after Boxing Day tea! Oh, and if the sugar mouse isn't in there, my son will go nuts LOL!

I'm doing the same, have bought both mine PJ's every year since they were born and we make the reindeer dust with them on Xmas eve with them, but Found a great site about a month ago that gave me the idea of a hamper type thing, so far got them

    Pj's
    Bubble bath
    Tooth brush
Transformer Cards (make up little transformers)

    want to also get

    Slipper socks
    toothpaste
Personalised Story book that I've found free online which I will print and bind
    soap
    sponge

Got some great wooden dishes (that will look great in my bathroom) for 75p in sainsbury's the other day that I will put it all together in.

Going to wrap them up and put a letter from Santa on it saying something along the lines of...As you have been good boys this year I have sent you these pressies early so you can prepare yourself for tommorrow.. Still need to work on that but thats the gist of it anyway

    HTH

Gingerbread man tin with mini gingerbread men in (Tesco)
    xmas story book.

    Going to also get
1st christmas bear for my DD
    Reindeer food
    Lush bath bomb

And need to find a box/basket of some sort...
    Slightly worn out mum to 3 (DS1 May 03, DS2 Feb 05, DD1 Feb 08). When i grow up i think i'll become a UN Peace keeper....

This is a new idea to me but I'm doing it for my baby grandson (well, 18 months old)
    I'm putting together
Reindeer food - oats (or something similar) with glitter
Snowman soup (basically hot chocolate drink in a snowman mug) to leave out for santa
Mince pies (couple wrapped on a christmas patterned plate)
Christmas flannel and towel - if I can't get nice patterned one I'll stitch a santas head on each )
Buy his usual bath stuff but put Santa stickers on all of it so its a bit special
Door hanger that says 'Santa Please Stop Here'
Christmassy bath toy (if I can find one !)
PJ's (unless his mum already bought them)
Message to santa -freebie print out one

Think thats it. I've done a letter from Santa -wrote that myself to make it more personal and couldn't find any pre-printed ones where I could put his age in.

Like the idea of the story book personalised ........might do that......or just print out short Christmas Story for him................still thinking about that one.

I'm doing one of these too for my boys - 4yo and 22 mths. I've got/ going to do...

    Lovely new pjs - bought
Xmasy DVDs (Dora and a more traditional one!) - bought
Santa Stop Here Door Hanger - made (pic on door hanger thread)
Santa rubber duck - got from ebay, couldn't resist him!
2 x ickle bath bombs from Lush - bought
    Bath crayons - got
Printed a personalised Xmas story off web (thanks for link Mary!)
Father Christmas story book - got
Name plaques for each of their bedroom doors (so Santa knows who's room is who's)
Reindeer food in a bag - going to make this with oats and coloured sugar (I've read that glitter can be harmful to birds if eaten)
Snowman soup and mugs - made the 'soup' and bought the mugs
a carrot - for those reindeer not partial to the oats and sugar mixture ;)
A jar of dry ingredients to make Twinks hobnobs to leave out for Santa (going to add cranberries and white chocolate as mentioned by Shaz) with recipe of how to make.
Torches - bit of fun whilst we scatter the reindeer food outside.

Going to add some paper so we can write a letter to Santa explaining food left etc.

Think that's it, so looking forward to giving it to them Xmas Eve morning :D

rainmac - thanks for the info about glitter being harmful to birds. I'll get some coloured sugar.

Can't add much else to my list as I've mentioned it in my Santa letter to him asking grandson to leave out some reindeer food cos they'll be peckish................lol

I read it somewhere or other, I was going to add food colouring to some granulated sugar and make my own coloured sugar, do you think that would be ok?
