On a more minor note why do they always write "the same" i.e. we will notify you of the same, inform us of the same. I think they are all robots!

I thought I was the only one who noticed that !!! ;)

I had some savings in ICICI UK a while back and I must admit the website doesn't exactly inspire you with confidence.
I mean, if you have all this money the least you could do is spend a bit to make the website look modern and quality, like erm.... Icesave

I work for an Indian company in the UK and have been speaking with my colleagues out in India and lots of Indian's are taking money out of ICICI they are in trouble I am glad I was out a while back. It is big news over there !!!!!

The website is typical of quite a lot of big Indian companies. Why invest in and Indian bank when there are lots of local banks and building socities in the UK ???? Keep your money local I say

    http://www.icicibank.com/ looks fine to me.
    http://www.icicibank.co.uk/ also looks fine.

The internet banking part has fallen over, certainly - perhaps under some kind of immense load.

    I'm getting...

"Your ID or password are incorrect" on your first link

"The programme cannot display the webpage" on your second link

The programme cannot display the webpage via my normal log in route.

If you did a normal BACS transfer on Wednesday, it wouldn't be likely to show up until Monday.
  • I just spoke to ICICI UK - I had to wait only about 5 minutes. The website is supposed to come back on in a couple of hours. I asked about changing the password and was told I will be able to change it on the website and that it would only be necessary to ask for a new one to be sent to me if I had forgotten the old one. As to transfers she said no problem and in any case I am covered by the UK guarantee.
