I have just arranged a CHAPS transfer.0

Brenda I assume you did your CHAPS over the phone, did you get a reference number for it and did they say when you will get an email?0

I made a withdrawal on Monday evening and today received this email:
Dear XXX,
Your recent request for funds transfer has been processed in line with your instructions.
You should receive the funds shortly. Regrettably, however, there will be a delay of one day in the funds reaching your account. As a goodwill gesture we will therefore credit your account with a payment of £50. We thank you for your understanding.
In case you have any questions or require any clarifications, please feel free to call us on

I originally expected the transfer to be in my account yesterday so one day late means it should have been in today (it isn't!).
I'm not unduly worried as if there is a problem then the FSA compensation scheme kicks in. yeah sure it might take a while for them to pay out but at least i will get it.
Question for all those who have withdrawn there entire balance - is your money any safer in your linked account ??? Unless it's Northern Rock i'd say you're in exactly the same position so where are you going to put your funds ?
As regards the website being down i believe this was planned maintenance. I believe NatWest are doing maintenance tonight/tomorrow - should we read too much into that and start a rumour - lol.
Had Guru Martin told us to withdraw then i would be withdrawing the lot, as it is i think it's Gossips and Scaremongerers causing the problem.0 -
I had some money ( a lot less than 5k:rolleyes: ) in Icesave but decided to withdraw it for various reasons about 3 weeks ago.
Was a lot more difficult withdrawing than depositing ( nothing new there I suppose) but finally had it back in my Smile account about 10 days ago. Phew - talk about lucky - so glad I did this.
I had a similar problem when I tried to withdraw money and close my account 6 weeks ago.
Several emails later and then I finally did it over the phone.
Mine was only £3K. Phew0 -
I withdrew my funds last night - so they'll hopefully be in my account by Wednesday at the latest.
But I've not been able to access https://www.icicibank.co.uk all day!
Has anyone else had any luck?0 -

Have just been able to clear out my account. The site had been unavailable to me for the last 45 mins since I tried to log in until now.0 -

https://www.icici.com wants to load but not https://www.icici.co.uk
Someone on another forum has heard that it is down for maintenance, hopefully that is the real reason.0 -
Correction neither now want to load.0

Site working fine now. Bad time to go down earlier, what was so difficult about a notice to customers?0
