You say we so I assume its a joint account in which case the answer is yes"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

ICICI is included in Are your savings safe with its protection limit explained (see the foreign banks section).
I've just spoken to the head of savings at moneysupermarket, which has an affiliate arrangement with ICICI. He was called by ICICI earlier this afternoon to be told all was fine, it was a technical glitch for their servers outsider India.
The Indian site is still up, apparently some people at Moneysupermarket had been able to log on a few minutes ago to the UK site, but we cant here at MSE towers. That may be to do with caching though - especially looking that some people above have the same thing.
Sorry I cant give you anything more solid, its not for the want of trying.
If, as its looking, this is just a case of their site being down temporarily, to not have some type of notice in the current climate is very poor managment.

Hi again,
Just to keep you updated, we're had further word from ICICI via Moneysupermarket, that this is just a technical web glitch and nothng more sinister. This is all we know at the stage and will keep on the case.

Thanks Dan, I've been trying all day to access my account. Its really helpful to have someone chasing up and then giving a regular update, even if its just to report that there's no news!0

This might be of interest too, from its .com site

You can carry out transactions over the phone at ICICI. I did this after getting locked out of my account. The main downside is you haven't got any instant proof of the transaction. They do email confirmation but it takes a couple of days.0

A word of warning to anyone who hasn’t logged into ICICI’s Internet Banking in a while: Make sure your password still works. I know an email from ICICI in April this year stated the following. We are writing to let you know that we have changed how our internet-banking passwords are made up. From 15th April, 2008 your internet-banking password must contain letters, digits and special characters (such as £, $, %, etc). This change will help to keep your account safe.
We suggest you change your password immediately, but you will be able to log onto your internet-banking account using your existing password until 15th June, 2008. After this date, you will have to change it otherwise you will not be able to access your account.
I took this to mean that the first time you logged in after 15 June, you would be forced to change your password to one meeting the new requirements. It doesn’t mean this. It means that your old password will be expired and you will have no access to your accounts. You will have to have the password reset. ICICI will then post you the reset password. This will be “processed in 7 working days”. I don’t know if that’s supposed to include getting the new password delivered.
I’m not impressed by this. So, I hadn’t logged in since November last year. No other bank or building society has ever locked me out, even if I haven’t accessed an online account in over a whole year.古池や蛙飛込む水の音0 -
We took ours out and arrived in accounts today.
Had more problems with ICICI than any other bank - know they are based in India but trying to communicate anything via email or phone is insanely difficult.
When one account opened they messed up the interest, took many phone calls and messages to sort out - so much hassle for a simple issue, a mistake on their part..
Lately they haven't even been replying to messages and I read about lots of people here taking their money out.. so..
On a more minor note why do they always write "the same" i.e. we will notify you of the same, inform us of the same. I think they are all robots!
The website is an absolute joke its almost like a child made it!0
