    Hi all,

Had a good week last week on balance - I didn't post cause I was so busy saving petrol!
I did 3 mystery shops so thats £15, and walked to them all, so walked over 20 miles in total! I had to drive up to my mums, but she replinished my petrol as she had me taking her all over, so I still have half a tank left.

I sold 12 items on ebay, nothing of much value, but glad to get rid, and about £60 for the pot.

I had a lovely time at home, saw all the old relatives as well, and one gave me a five pound note, like I was a child visiting...I did point out i was over 30! but it was very kind anyway.

I have done some research and it would seem that the school wouldn't realistically have enough time to make me redundant in between the time I return and the time they have to give me notice, which means it'll be someone else, orif i am involved in the process it will be later in the year at Christmas time.

I have got to get us to my meeting with the head this morning, then post my ebay parcels, then shop and back here to scan it in. I have got 3 clients coming for a double lesson at one, and I have got someone coming to collect ebay stuff at five. Then I can relax!

Yes, it went well thanks. They need to loose 1 teacher in my department, so some of us have to pick up other subjects, rather than make the redundancy. I have been asked to pick up child development. I am quite looking forward to it really. I think there is a lot of coursework and big classes so as long as i am organised i should be ok.

a book sold on amazon, and my last ebay parcel needs to go. I also need to chase my boots points for an online order, chase a vb order, and an amazon and debenhams refund.

I suppose the problem will be that i don't know that much about them - yet!

Anyway, i have sent my letter to say im coming back to work (at the start of the Easter hols of course!) that i wont be doing breakfast club, and that i want to express at work and continue to breastfeed. I rang the (male) head about the last point as I couldn't face discussing it face to face!! i am such a coward!

I have registered for childcare vouchers too.

On the way to a clients yesterday i hit a pot hole :( my tyre got a puncture and the wheel buckled, my oh has had the wheel repaired, his friend at the garage did it for free and i will have to buy a new tyre in the next few days circa £70:eek:

I have been paid, and had a big lumpsum of cashback paid by quidco (for a contract i actually had to stop using!) so i've managed to op £600.

Baby has been really good all day, but now a bit unsettled, he wouldn't eat his tea and just wants milk...

That is great news. I think you will find that really interesting.

The kids i remember doing it were doing things like looking at how babies learn language, and they did case studies about how nurseries worked. One of my year 10s had done a profile on my DS1 which was a bit weird but interesting when she showed it me.

They also got us teachers who had kids in childcare to fill in questionnaires about what we thought about childcare provision.

I am sure once you get to know what it entails, you will find it interesting. Probably a lot of coursework/portfolios, but the kids who did it at our school were mostly female and extremely motivated to do it.

Well done for sorting so much out, and i am sorry your tyre got a puncture. Stuff like that is so frustrating. We hit a pothole in Dhs car once and it did something to the engine, the AA would not tow us anywhere as they said it was an accident not a breakdown, and it cost us £100 to get towed back 2 miles to our house because it was a weekend. On a weekday the garage would have gone and got it for us for free. So gutting. Hope it all gets sorted quickly for you.

Thanks michelle, it does really set you back when you think that you've worked so hard to make £60 on ebay, and then have to spend £70 on a tyre. Anyway what doesn't kill us makes us stronger, and I have been working even harder to make more ops...

Since Thursday I have tutored 7 clients - one new, and I did 2 ms yesterday, I had to buy eggs so i now have to do some inventive meal planning to get rid of my glut. A lot of items need replenishing this week, like kitchen roll and wipes for oh, so I will try to just get the ncessities and have the rest out of the cupboards and freezer.

Today we are going to go to church to meet the vicar and get the form for earthlets christening, then clean, and then some friends are coming round to watch the football, but i am going to use this time to pass earthlet to someone else so i can do my ebay listings and work on ohs business.

Left over spag bol becomes stuffed peppers for tea.

    off i go!

    Hi All,
No posts of late as I have been so busy getting on top of things.

I didn't manage any ebay listings so I must do them this weekend. I did do a lot of small business work which should pay dividends I hope..

I have only used my car yesterday and Tuesday, and now don't need to use it till next Tuesday, as I am trying to organise my outings all together.

I did my weekly shop which came in at £45 :0 but this did include a big batch of baby food that I have ready to go into the freezer and loads of nice fruit for us all.

I am hoping that with extra fruit and milk next week, that will do us 2 weeks.

I have organised the Christening completely now for the 5th June. The Church and reception are booked. I am really pleased at the deal I got on the reception - its going to be in a really nice hotel near the Church, with nice grounds and a spa, and I managed to barter them down from £11 to £8.50 per head for the buffet, with no room hire charge. With a max of 50 people, and some of them children, it should be less than £400. Mum is making the Christening cake, and she is going to do little fairy cakes as well, and the hotel are providing free tea and coffee to have with the cakes.

MIL has bought earthlet a little cream suit, sounds like a paige boy suit, as he is too big for the Christening gown!

I have designed some Christening invitations 6" x 4" on photoshop, and have got them printed by a photography company for £1.98, along with a list of hotels, and got £10 cash back, so actually got paid to print my invites!! They will be just like matt photographs, so I might need to mount them on card before posting - I've got the envelopes (60p),and am getting them printed dead early, so that I can hand them all out by hand rather than post them (I am such a tightwad!)

I have got another new client starting on Friday, it all helps!

This week I need to do some small business work, list on ebay, and clean the house. I also fancy collecting some daffs as well.

Next week I need to organise to get my hair cut at the college as its only £7, and do that top up shop.
