I wish I had the time and energy for more tutoring. I'm really tempted to take on another tutee perhaps on a Friday pm...but then I teach 5 lessons on a Friday and given how poorly I've been I can't help but think I'd just be taking on too much.

But then it would be an extra £300...hmmmm....

See how you get on first, but you might find you quite enjoy it and its quite easy. Maybe give Fridays a miss if you have a busy day though - and don't you sometimes need to visit oh?

    We shall see....

Another OP made of £600. I have £90 to pay in from tutoring as well next week - I'll do this when I walk to my mystery shop.

I have still got most of my list to do, but thought I'd have a bit of a relax as I've just tutored for 3 hours and fed everybody.

Outstanding mortgage figure, including the endowment shortfall, is only £10,729.97 yey!

Just an edit to say I have listed another 26 items on ebay, phew!

Well no petrol used this weekend, and I gave the house a really deep clean, and managed to do some small business work.

Today I had a bit of a mixed day, as I had challended myself to use less petrol, so I walked to my ms in the next but one town, about 4 miles away. I was going fine until my buggys pnematic tyre got a puncture, I did my mystery shop and got half or the way back, but I didn't want to risk damaging the buggy, so I got oh to come and rescue me. Still, some petrol saved - the thought was there!!

I have got in touch with some of my friends at work, to wish them a good holiday, and have found out that there is a rumor of a redundancy in my dept. This is not good, as the head rang earlier in the week asking when I would be back and saying 'there will be some changes' and that he needed to meet with me - I got the impression he meant asap, infact he chose the first day I had available for a meeting - next Monday. I really do hope its not bad news...

SO SO GLAD we only owe a little on the mortgage. There has been a few threads on this forum asking why pay off your mortgage. Well this is why! I can't imagine how i'd be feeling otherwise!

What subject are you Earthy? I can't remember. Fingers crossed it's nothing like that though. x

I would have thought with the new Bac stuff MFL teachers would be more in demand...not less. Unless MFL is already compulsory at your school...

  • I would guess hon that it is more to check that you definitely want FT hours. If you were going PT they might be able to persuade someone else to go PT and therefore save having a redundnacy.

Horrible times. My friends were all ill with stress when it was banded round when i was off on mat leave. I didn't give a fig and would have took redundo. I should have perhaps gone that way rather than resign, but you have hit the head on the nail saying at least you have a small mortgage, and also, you have enough skills to earn some cash from other sources if need be for the shorter term even if it is not the job you want to do.

Hugs, and try not to stress out too much till you actually know something.
