  • Is he a bit colicky too Earthy? I know DS1 had terrible colic. USed to cry and fuss for about 13 hours a day round about him being 6-8 weeks old. We'd feed then he's cry, so i'd wind, and he would still cry, so i would shake and jiggle him every way possible before trying from the start again. Very hard. Give us a shout if it is and i'll let you know what we did that worked.

Hugs to you. Babies can be so demanding. My DS2 has been equally demanding most of the day. The demands get less, and it will get easier really quickly and you will forget the hard bits.
  • Poor you. As you will have realised, breastfeeding doesn't get fully established until about 6 weeks, but after that it is really easy and never hurts, so you are nearly there. And it has the dual benefit of making your baby big and strong, and you small and skinny. Perfect. Never been so thin as when I had just stopped breastfeeding. Those were the days.....

    Love to all from Squirrel

Just catching up - sorry to hear earthlet's been unwell :( Don't fret about a routine - still early days - things will naturally and very gradually start to fall into place and you'll find at about 5 months that you have a routine without realising it - and without stressing about it :)

B/F is fab if you can do it - but it is one of the things that makes a routine harder to get to, because it is so much on demand, whereas bottles are more of a set time thing (in comparison). I fed all 4 of mine. I finished feeding no 3 when he was 2y 10m:eek: - and that was only because I was pg with no 4 and had to have a CVS. I'm still feeding DS3 now (15mths) :)

Some days are harder than others - but you do tend to forget them and remember all the lovely bits instead :)

    thank you
lifts my heart to read all your omments and wishes.

Had a much better few days and baby seems really happy today. Partly to do with the fact i was b'f and reading memorygirls thread and forgot i was b'f so he fed for britain:D

Anyway just chilling out with little one, will try to do some cleaning and sorting, and take him for a long walk - i've been doing about 3 miles most days. I've lost a stone since the birth, only got just another one and a bit to go - b'f has its pluses:D

I have been keeping up with my shop and scan and have ordered a voucher that i'll use for an xmas present for nephew. Every little helps...

I have transfered over some paypal money and have quidco money, and a little excess in current account after being paid, so will transfer 200 pounds over to mortgage, and colour in 2 boxes of my house in (mortgage split into 100 pound segments to colour in in the kitchen)

my ms task today is select items for ebay and photograph them.

I WILL pay off the 13,xxx within 12 months, slowly but surely.

Edit: decided to transfer £300 to mortgage, just couldn't resist! Now the £1.39 is going to annoy me so much I will have to raise another £100 to overpay this month!....

Just a quick update as I am required by the baby in a mo!

I have had a nice few days with MIL, got house a bit more sorted out, and ventured into the city centre so ok with that now.

I have been cooking out of the store cupboard, apart from milk and fruit, and feel much better with HM food.

I have had a letter to say I'maccepted as an examiner with another board, so fingers crossed for some more work in January..

All in all things are looking good on the income/outgoings front.

oh, and oh has booked us a few nights away which coincide with his deliveries so can be put through the business:j

on the bad side though he wanted to watch the football in hd, so we have had to take out a 12 month hd contract at £120/year:eek: not in the budget :( he is soooo fussy!

Tell him to cancel - my boss was moaning just yesterday that HD has a big delay of about 5 seconds, so when he's watching on the swanky screen and his son is upstairs in his bedroom on the other screen, the son sees the goals first!! People and their football, lol.....

    .

I am starting to think it might be a bit wind related as well as underdeveloped digestive system. Doctors have given me coleif, but it makes him sick :( so just a small dose. I try to keep him upright as much as possible.
    ?
    Any other ideas

Another good day today. Earthlet is doing well, I have a cold (just exhausted really so bound to catch it!) but oh is helping out today with the baby, and I am just feeding and relaxing.

I have been into the city and returned some baby items that were bought as presents, I just have far too many small sizes, and not so many big sizes. I kept the credit note and will get him something more useful in the future. I feel a bit bad about it, but some people had enclosed the recipts and told me to get the size I want, and its better than sitting in the attic cause I can't fit it in the drawers!

So might get some ebaying done, but going to take advantage of the pizza offer and have a relaxing night in front of the tv.
