I would love to learn Welsh. I love the language and it would be pretty useful for me to do it. How you going about it?

Again sorry for big delay in posting, not cause I am not doing much, I just don't seem to get a minute to myself!

I have made another op of £1000, and I have more money from tutoring to overpay.. I will make a trip to the bank next week. Annoyingly my local branch has closed and I have to go into the city to pay money in. Still, i'd rather it was decreasing my interest on my mortgage so I must go into the city.

I am pretty busy with tutoring and looking after the baby - I now do two clients per day normally - this is great for building up op's!
I have also managed to get marking for the summer, but nothing for January yet - but my boss filled in a reference for me so I may get some yet.

I have ordered a new sim - the orange £110 quidco cashback deal, so I will come in drastically underbudget for mobile phone spends - down to just £10 per year.It will also save me spending money using the landline, so I treated us to the £2 chocolate offer too! yum!

Today Im going to do some welsh, then tidy and manure the garden, so earthlet gets some fresh air.
btw he is enormous now - 3 months old yesterday!

Wow - you have been busy!

I wish I could speak better Welsh so may look at the website you are using, it is a very difficult language though. I think that must be why Welsh speakers add in a few english words to their sentences!

Well done on the tutoring, can't be easy with a 3 month old.

I saw the Orange offer too and DH contract ends in about 7 weeks and he was considering PAYG. I hadn't realised you could qualify for the cashback on Sim only so thank you for that.

Well I managed another op after paying in my tutoring money, so now only £9,300 to find! Wow!
I am starting to get a bit carried awway - even looking at where to buy my mortgage free champagne from!
I musn't loose focus, especially with
    -electricity usage
-spending on frivolous items. I haven't actually done this, but feel I am on the edge of a splurge!

My focus this weekend and next week is the business and learning welsh.

    Wish me luck!

  • Ooh - haven't checked in for ages - but lo and behold a chat about learning Welsh - which is my first language :)
Let me know if you need any help. We do use a lot of English words in between the Welsh, lol! For me it's usually because the Welsh version is longwinded and multi-syllabic and, if relating to something modern and technological, it just feels a bit contrived.

    Right back to work!

ah sparkly, I am Welsh but not Welsh speaking (only know bits learned from school) and now I finally know why you hear Welsh and English together - thank you :)
