Wow...that must mean your an alien too courgette!! Mind you I am on my own whilst DH is at work and I don't actually have anything better to do other than clean (which I've already done today I might add!! :D) because nobody I know lives near me. Soooo at least I'm chilled out when DH is back from work because I keep myself busy. :D

I think she's an alien! Thats how she is so organised!!

    :rotfl::rotfl:

No I am not an alien, but I love to feel organised and on top of things, imagine how I am going to cope with a baby:eek: and you should see how untidy my house is !!

Glad that courgette doesn't do much in the hols either - I completely agree, all the extra hours we work term term means we need a break!

Although I have been spending, I have been quite frugal lately, not using much petrol, and doing a monthlyish shop for £48. I also bought 6 big tomato plants for 60p each, and some eggs for £1.50 from the farm.

I sold an item on ebay, made £1.61. All this means that I have about £25 to last us 'till the end of April to stay on budget, which is do able!

I have taken some seedlings to my glass cupboard at work, and if I get a good nights sleep I should be able to clear off more of my work todo list.

Tired out though now after 1 day back at work!

Right you seriously need to help me with our food bills....they are silly! I'm too embarrassed to post the amount we have spent on food over the last month. It's because we are living separately.

I know DH is worse than me but seriously we are talking in triple figures and the first number does not start with a 1!! There is only 2 of us!!!!

You just made me feel better twinklie. I spend over £200 every month without fail. I came in at £175 last month i thought, but i just found some more receipts this morning. Not totted it up yet. I keep thinking i should hang around on Weezls thread or the grocery challenge a bit more and it might pep me up, but i know in reality i am fairly good and cook mostly from scratch. I do buy some snacks like crisps, but i make cakes and biscuits. There are 4 of us though. And we get through so much milk. The kids were on a pint a day each and i have just reduced that to 1 between them.

Mine eat nearly as much as me now at nearly 2 and 3.5. Scary. I don't have a bird like appetite myself either. I made loads of goodies last weekend and they have nearly all gone. I'm constantly waiting for the 'Mummy - i'm hungry.' I dread to think what they will be like as teenagers and even more energetic as my DH said he used to take 2 packed lunches worth of food to school so he could have one at break, then eat a snack like a tin of rice pudding when he got in, and then eat dinner with his parents. It's probably a good job i am paying off my mortgage quicker as i bet the extra funds will head that way. :rotfl:DH can still be a snack a holic now, although he does try and restrain himself and i serve him really large portions. He's a typical man too and doesn't really get fat unless it is too much booze and choccies, although he can lose the weight in about a day if he wants to.

we spend a lot on food too, I did add it up once and it came to about £250pm. I try not to worry though as we like eating and like food but I do focus on making sure we eat healthily, seasonally and that we don't waste it. The way I think about it is we don't drink, smoke, hardly ever go out, hardly buy new clothes (or new anything for that matter) so so what if we like to buy nice olives or nice bread or get through a whole block of cheese in a week.

    Just my twopence worth :p

I think we are somewhere around that philiosophy as well, but with it just being oh and I our bills are quite low. I cook a lot from scratch and use up everything, but I do think we eat quite nice things really. I do like to have a budget though as it stops me from buying rubish and things we don't need - especially fatty foods!

    Had a great week :j

I managed to get all the work tasks that I set myself done, apart from where I am chasing others. I will set another list of targets for next week and will soon clear my list! I have managed to get into breakfast club on time as well.

My plants are all growing well, and the weather is lovely!!!

I have completed 6 tutorings this week, one has aske dto go up to 2 lesons a week, and have a new customer starting next week, so should earn £45 more next week.

Some cash back has been validated, so my kitty for any unbudgeted items is up to £4.15!!

I have also been approached by an examining board to become a marker, terms and conditions and pay seem good, and I will get about £1000 next for that this summer.

OH had a win in Scottish national and has lots of cash to take me out tonight!!

Hope everyone else is having a fab week too! x
