I have to say that you locking yourself in the cupboard made me grin too.
That you are so happy at the supermarket makes me think about getting a part time job at my local too.Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Sorry but this made me chuckle, how did you manage that?

Its funny neither my OH or friends were surprised I'm always doing stuff like this - my excuse is that I'm always rushing!
When I was at a hospital appointment a supply teacher somehow managed to let the class steal my main door handle. The caretaker took the handle off the inside of the cupboard to put on the main door but I didn't know until I shut the door behind me and was locked in the cupboard!!
Because I was really early for school - about 7.30 there was nobody to hear my knocking until about ten past eight - glad I'm not claustrophobic! just very embarrased :rotfl:15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Its the right time of year people planning for xmas rotas! I have to say up in the clothes dept of the supermarket we have been so busy with the credit crunch - people looking for bargains - that we can't cope with the staff levels we have!
Supermarkets are always a good recruiter but the pay is not very good, with tax I earn about £4 / hour, so £20 per evening, but I do it twice a week so that £40 adds up. The girls I work with are lovely I really enjoy it. If I ever didn't enjoy it I would stop no question as tutoring is more pay for 4 hours less work! But I have stayed there for over 2 years as I get 10% off groceries, working on the clothes I get most of my clothes (jeans dresses etc) for £1, 10p for socks knickers and stuff like that, so I spend about £20 / year on an entire wardrobe of new clothes!
I have tailed off buying clothes from the supermarkets and other cut price retailers due to the child labour programme I watched a while back and i've been looking at charity shops but its so much more expensive than the prices I get new clothes for!
Mr Ts offers the highest wages out of the big 4, but I think Aldi is higher still (?)

Got up really early this morning (5am) because I am mad and didn't want to have any school work spoiling my week off - thought I'd take advantage of the extra hour. I have already got it finished and can concentrate on what I want to all week! yey!
My boss gave me a whole pile of work on the last day of half term saying that she couldn't do it and I am one of these people who finds it hard to say no! Still it only took me a couple of hours.
Anyway now that work is completed i'm getting ready for an early bus to my parents (£25 cheaper than the train!) and a bit of relaxation with no school work to come back to!
Enjoy the weekend and hope you sensible people enjoyed the extra hour in bed!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

You at you're parents all week - getting looked after?Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Only at my parents for a few days I do like being looked after and spending time with family and friends:T . Brought my laptop so doing a bit of website work and also scanning in hundreds of pictures for a birthday album for my dad - its taking ages but I can't think of anything else he might want.
I am so shocked as to how skint my friends are - it is really hard for my single friends with mortgages who have not had a 'mse' approach to their twenties to cope. My best friend who has a good well paid job - better than mine - has no savings and £5 to last her the week! Credit cards maxed, overdraft maxed - crazy! I offered to help ofcourse but thats not the answer so I told her to look at Martins overhaul article - I'm so glad I did 6 years ago!
My mates that used to buy loads of expensive designer clothes and hair styles now can't even afford to shop at primark - it has really shocked me how my approach in the last 6 years has made my situation so different to my friends now. My heart goes out to them I really hope that my friends and others (esp those with kids) who are finding the rising prices hard to deal with manage to find their way through it all :heartsmil
So far today I have scanned in a million pictures and I'm about to go and visit my gran. Eventually I will do some more website work, go for a walk with my mum and then head home.15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

I'm sure your dad will love his album, it'll be worth all the scanning.
I think we've all got friends like this, I've introduce some of them to MSE and they all find it helpful.
Hope your gran's well and you have a good dayCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Gran wasn't so good so I stayed there quite a while and didn't get any website work done never mind - family comes first!
Not a NSD as I need a few cold remedies for OH! I'm about to do two tutorings, and make a stew - I have got so much autum veg to use up! I'll call into the allotment and get some spinach too to keep the vitamin levels up! I will definately do some website work as well today - I'll try for three hours.
Got two carrier bags of apples to sort out as well - might leave them for another day!
It was a cold evening last night with no heating on  we just got huddled up under a duvet with a hot water bottle! It was really cosy but I think we will have to put the heating on soon!
Enjoy the snow!
