Shopgirl my subject is French and German. I suppose thats why I get so many calls about tuoring (2 more this week)- people want to learn it for holidays as well as the usual exam pupils.
Had quite a good weekend didn't get everything done, but I did turn down extra overtime today in the supermarket - I would be a zombie by Monday if I didnt have a day off!
Unfortunately noticed at my allotment yesterday that carrot root fly got some of my lovely carrots  so I dug them all up and have made 4L of carrot and cumin soup, and 4L of mixed veg soup, a pasta sauce to use up some of the tomatos and also bread and butter pudding as mould had started to appear on my loaf! This took 4 hours! Better get on with the important things I should have been doing today instead  !
Clean house - mud from allotment EVERYWHERE how do I do it?only 1 hour benefit of having a small house! DONE

Today Ive been to see a doctor and have to loose weight - Im only 8 st but I'm tiny so Im classed as overweight!
So i've called a pool I pass on the way too and from school and its only £20 for 10 swims, so on the weeks I can't cycle to work I can go to the pool without breaking the bank with a gym membership.
So far I have done an hour of website promotion and about to teach 3 lessons, with lunch duty and then two tutorings later. NSD as HM dinner is ready to heat up later.
Need to plan my tutorings and also clear my in tray. Must remember to bring a bag of books home to mark later as well - Joy!
Have a great day everyone!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Sounds helpful for the mortgage OP. I was thinking of doing some, but with the SATs being dropped, there may be less need for tutors - although, there is always GCSE.MBNA - [STRIKE]£7068.60 [/STRIKE] £7060.00 Egg - 1422.35 A&L - [STRIKE]£249.32[/STRIKE] £215.00Loan - £13279.50 :rolleyes:0 -

Good work with the extra tutoring, I struggle to think what I could teach to extra students although I can get an extra session in the college. I was thinking that I could learn to teach basic skills as there's a huge need for that here.0

If I was being generous I'd scrape 5ft!
EAL is another good subject to tutor - I get quite a lot of people call up asking me to teach English but I don't like to when I'm not trained. Definately give tutoring some thought fellow teachers - I was a bit nervous but when the notes started to fill the OP pig, I soon got the hang of it!!
Today I've got a lot of school work finished off - determined not to bring any home for the holidays! (Three days left:j )
Tomorrow my tutee cancelledbut I can get more stuff finished off at work so not a disaster as long as I use the time wisely and not spend hours on the internet!
Right I'm going to stop waffling now and get some sleep!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

All has been quiet as I have been catching up on loads of work. I suppose thats the downside of working lots of jobs - I really have to make sure that all my work for my main job is completed and upto date.
I am normally try to stay ahead if I can, which means this week I have put an extra 9 hours into my teaching planning and marking than normal. Would have been 9 1/2 hours but I managed to lock myself in my store cupboard for half an hour! Still I have perfected the art of climbing out of the window now!:o What an idiot!!!!
Still its mostly done now, and it means I can concentrate on promoting our own business in my week holidays, and do some overtime in the supermarket - I really enjoy this though -its so stress free and my fellow workers are a good laugh!
I have done a few more tutorings yesterday so thats an extra £50 for the OP pot:T and I'm working in Supermarket tonight!
I am so annoyed that we have had to give away our James Bond premiere tickets that we had already paid for cause OH has to work  but I suppose thats always a danger when you are self employed - we have to work when we can! So never mind we will go another time I have to stop obsessing about wasting money when it really can't be helped - if we didn't plan these odd things every now and again we wouldn't do anything as a couple at all!!!
Also annoyed that I lost half of my designated planning time this week  I really need the time to stay ahead and they are not really supposed to take it off me!
Rant over I am now going to focus on the positiveThis weekend I will clean up, weed at allotment, finish any last scraps of teaching work off and visit my parents.
After this on my week off its promotion work for our business every day :T I quite enjoy this when I get going!
Have a good weekend!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j
