Yeah its great in summer but I really need to get it into gear for Autumn and Winter I always get caught!
Have had a good day, did weekly shop at Lidl for £6 and wine for £8. So not bad really. Read in a magazine that Lidls cleaning products were really good and will try to stock up with things we need once a month, starting in July.
Have worked on small business for 3 hours :A, and done a tutoring so thats £25 for OP, which I hope to make on Wednesday.
Got a long day tomorrow, small business work before breakfast club, then work, boring meeting, and then networking.
OH is worrying me, we planned to get kitchen redone, it is still the original, but now OH is talking about getting an extention  which will cost around £30, 000 - £40,000. We had originally thought £10,000 for a kitchen so I feel really upset thinking about how long I will have to work to pay for it!
The kitchen extention will give us an extra 4m sq approx, I just don't think its worth it!:(
Still have discussed with OH and hopefully he will see sense.
Looking forward to making OP Wednesday.

What does the 4m^2 equate to in extra storage and work surface etc? Obviously depending upon door and window layout it may help, but it could simply add two cupboards 1m long plus worktop if you are simply extending a U-shape...
Unlike other rooms where you can move furniture around etc, the kitchen is pretty much restricted to work surfaces and cupboards against the wall, plus, if room shape allows, some counter top etc into the middle. It may be worth looking at this in terms of the "gain" rather than the perception of increased space?0 -

Thanks I have made this absolutely clear to OH, and hope we can come to some conclusion in the near future (communication is not our strong point!)
Anyway - super few days. Yesterday I overpayed by £3003:T This was a cancelled sharesave cheque and some tutoring money plus £60 from current account. To meet my target of £1000 OP from 'extra' earnt money this month I still have to OP £700, I have some cheques to process so I should be able to make this second OP at the end of the month.
Really inspired by my friend who is going through tough times financially. She has been telling me about all the lovley things she is doing (for free) that she actually wouldn't have done unless this situation had occured.
So that her no unemplyed partner doesn't spend all day and night indoors, when she gets in from work they go for walks, lovely picnics, or cook from scratch together - instead of just watching tv. She does loads of other pamper things as well. Chatting to her reminded me of what is important
1- Being happy and healthy
2-enjoying the simple goodness in life instead of wasting my hard earned cash.
3- getting rid of mortgage so I can enjoy the simple goodness in life more!
Today I've tutored, been to allotment and tidied up, picked veg for a few days.
I've discovered my new favourite free treat, HG strawberries dipped in melted chocolate buttons - lush! My friend gave me big bags of buttons as dad works at chocolate factory so its free!
I am also enjoying HG teas at the moment - cammomile leaves and lemon balm leaves - organic tea and no price tag!
Tided the garden at home and going to finish by cleaning the house and having a soak in the bath :j.

Excellent OP well done! Also some very profound thoughts too :beer:0

Well done on your overpayment, earthgirl, wow, one day I hope that could be me.
Thanks also for your other musings - you're right, it is the small, free things in life that can really make us happy!
Now if only I had a dad who works at a chocolate factory..... no, on second thoughts, not a good idea - I'd be twice the size I am now!!0 -

Tired out today. Sleep problem is generally resolved (with the help of a few tablets now and then) but last night got none.
OH worked 'till 2am and I got up at 6, so we are ships in the night atm!
Agreed to help a previous client with a translation call after work, getting paid for it, but not that keen - it will be hard work! Still £25 for op pot.
I think I will go for a walk along the river for half an hour before I do it to pep me up a bit!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Hope everyone is having a fruitfull weekend?
Mine has been great. OH away till Tue am so I am missing him, but getting loads done and loving the peace!
The translation call on Friday was really difficult but big sense of achievement at the end. I was translating from French to English and back again on behalf of a property investor having a few problems with his irate Belgian developer!
Went on for over an hour so I got paid £30 - straight into OP pot. OH has had another win on horses (he is very careful and wins through accumulators so never bets much.) so I will try to convince him to add some of that to the OP pot as well.
I've had a real mse weekend. Worked hard all day, and read library books and drank reasonable wine! I ate from the allotment and had a great weekend, hardly spending a bean!
My family are starting to ask me what I want for birthday next month, I am trying to think of useful things to suggest that will save me money instead of the usual 'whatever'. I was thinking sat nav - this would save me time, my next haircut, showergel or vouchers for boots, and perhaps garden centre vouchers.
Got my dad a lovely Fathers Day card for 75p and sent him a real four leaf clover that OH found a few weeks ago and I pressed. He loved it!
Weather is grim. I will go and water tomatoes at allotment, post some flyers for an hour, do another few hoursof small business work and then relax with my book and wine again.
