Has anyone used BOL?

  • The first time I ordered, the books arrived quite quickly. However, I'm just about to compose my letter of complaint about my current order - ordered on 17/10, money taken 22/10 - eventually arrived 11/12. Not happy at all. And it took three phone calls, the last of which they took 25 minutes to answer and cost me over £2.50.

They won't be getting any of my business again. >:(

Can you tell your credit card company to not pay them due to non-receipt of goods?

    Anyone know about this?

    Strange
  • It is official it has all GONE PEAR SHAPED at books on line.

This is a quote from books on line today.

It was the content of a promotional email.

My parcel finally arrived today but one of the hardback books is badly dented :(

It was in the middle of the pile so was obviously like that when they packed it >:(

No chance of replacement now before Xmas. Currently on hold to customer services...

Could you forward the transcript of this email here, please.

Should we all cancel payments to the company?

    Strange?

It was the subject of the mail - i.e.

Subject: A Christmas gone pear shaped at bol.com

The transcript is "The ultimate Partridge experience" which is a reference to Alan Partridge (partridge in a pear tree)

Bit apt as a header though ;)
  • I am waiting for my book ordered in late October I am going to contact them again by phone as they do not reply to my emails.
Could anybody help me with a geographic phone number.

    Many thanks Nigel
  • Has anyone used the online bookstore 'BOL'? It appears significantly cheaper than Amazon, but I don't want to get caught out. Can't find any posts about it here either.

    Much Obliged,

    Strange

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Customer service stinks as well.

Reported books not delivered received an email back with a form I need to sign and return, did they provide an address for me to return it too? no so do I email it back? If I do it ain't signed.

I eventually got an address off the website (when it would work after I logged in as it spent a lot of time not getting passed the log in page) but I have to say cheap if it goes right, damed annoying if it goes "pear shaped".

Has anyone replied to that email with sure has or you're telling us?
I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.
  • Have found the telephone geographic number for BOL.

It  is 02077606900 ask for BOL customer services.

I shall phone them first thing and insist on a refund.
