Yesterday I could not view any account information, after a password reset for my closed account.
I can now view the full amount and account info, with 9th oct as the opening date.
The BACS from Monday night did'nt go through (as expected).

    Out of LIMBOLAND.
Back in the icy grip of ICELAND.
Lets hope Gordy & Darling, melt their grip,
and back home to England, straight into an industrial strength safe away from Banks, Taxman and the rest of 'em .LOL.. I wish
  • I have just rang up and got my account unlocked. Checking my account shows the ISA being re-opened and the money back in there! Phew! Doesn't look like any intererest has been added but i'm quite happy to have just the capital back!!

Lets see what the FSCS have to say today?!

Phew!!! Couldn't remember my memorable date when my account was reinstated this morning so locked my account and had to phone the call center. Im currently in Australia so this call would have probably cost the 3k in my ISA to phone a 0845 number!!!
Sooo glad I found the geographical number on saynoto0870.com (0191 2558377) for local rate and used my VOIP from here.

Alls back in order now and my balance finally reinstated. Just have to wait for Darling to sort out how were gonner get our dosh back...
  • I'm very glad to see you have all been reinstated at icesave, as have I, and the balance showing correctly. Phew! <<say prayer of thanks here>>
Remember to print a copy of the account summary/statement for your records too. :T

I went through the process of withdrawing all my money on Monday. However it kept defaulting to the next day (Tuesday) as the day it would happen, Sure enough it was showing action processed the next morning (Tuesday) of which I took copies. It was then an anxious wait as neither Icesave or my destination account showed where my money was. On looking at my Icesave this morning its saying the money was returned to my Icesave account on the Wednesday. Is this legal I ask myself? and why have Icesave removed their terms and conditions from their website? Regards JPC

Mine has also gone from zero to last expected balance, but no record of past transactions as it thinks it was just opened yesterday.

Britain went on the offensive. "What happened in Iceland is completely unacceptable," said Brown. "I've spoken to the Icelandic prime minister, I have told him this is effectively an illegal action that they have taken. We are freezing the assets of Icelandic companies in the UK where we can. We will take further action against the Icelandic authorities where necessary to recover the money.
"The responsibility for this lies fairly and squarely with the Icelandic authorities, and they cannot simply default. The Icelandic authorities are responsible for this, and we are demanding the money is paid back to the local authorities, and we are prepared to consider all forms of action, including, as we did, attempting to freeze assets."
It also emerged yesterday that the 300,000 UK personal savers who had accounts with Icesave would be lucky to get their money back by Christmas.

Well, it looks as though as though we won’t see our money back for sometime, and while I don’t need my money right now (it’s meant for when we retire), and will just be very glad to get it back, I sympathize with any savers that need their funds within the next few weeks.
Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.
  • My money is back in Icesave from limboland.

I BACSed out the lot on sunday 5 Oct and it was in limboland but I followed the
